I have been staying at the Wildwood since 1981. Each year the second generation of Webers add more nice things to the motel. It is one of a very few motels in Lake Placid that is actually on Lake Placid and the swimming pool that you see from the road is actually fed with free flowing water from Lake Placid... More

Really loved staying here! Booked a last minute room for the marathon weekend and we got the best room in the place! Lake view from our little balcony. The location was perfect. We return year after year .We find the hotel clean,staff friendly(know them all by name) easy walk to village.We park and walk to eat. If we are feeling lazy take the trolley to town. I've been staying at the Wildwood since I was a little girl. Small and family owned, this place is such a gem. The price is the lowest you can find in the area. It's right on the bay of Lake Placid. “Nice Rustic Stay”

We stayed in Cottage 107 for 2 nights. It was nice. Clean. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The staff were great and helpful. The location was also good. The towels in the rooms had seen better days. We would stay again.

Great value. Clean, friendly and good location for the convention center, or just enjoying the town of Lake Placid. Very clean and good staff. We really enjoyed the stay! If we had more time we would have enjoyed the pool and sauna. The price was reasonable.
