They are definitely trying to update their property. The room was recently renovated though the couch in the room sunk in the middle. The bed was a bit hard but that is my preference to have it softer. The only complaint I had was the access to the internet from our room. You could get more bars on your wifi... More

Reasonable price and a lake view room. The room was nice enough but the bathroom was very tight, holding a tub/shower and the toilet. Why are showerheads placed on a wall for a five foot tall person instead of a six foot? Ducking down is not a fun way to shower. They should also have a grab rail in the... More

Room was fine, fresh carpet, paint and bedding. Nothing spectacular, decent view of the lake and great location for walking the town. Stayed during the NCAA hockey tourney, so hotels were priced accordingly and scarce. I prefer a little more upscale property, so wouldnt stay again. More

Room was very reasonably priced but a bit threadbare. But hey, they accept dogs so my golden came along and that saved me $$$ for doggie boarding. Room was large, warm and quiet and except for a dried dog vomit hidden behind a long length window curtain, clean. More

We stayed on president’s weekend (BUSY) in a suite. The mattresses were super comfy, we almost missed our check-out time as we didn’t want to get out of bed!! We liked the HUGE clean room, and its balcony was definitely a plus! It was within walking distance to main street shopping and dining!!! The staff was excellent and very accommodating.... More

I like soap, and we couldn't get anyone to come to our room to give us some after asking twice. Poor customer service and dingy room. Overpriced for what you get. More

Stayed here for two nights on Family Day weekend. Hotel was really busy, parking was overflowing in the lots. The location was great, just at the end of the main street. We had a second floor lakeview room. The view was obstructed by some trees, but you could see the water and the mountains in the distance. The beds had... More

The location of the Summit Hotel is great. The room was a bit small and the bathroom tiny but the bed and bedding were very comfortable. Parking was a problem but the front desk managed it well. The hot tub was cold!...bummer! This is a good value for being in Lake Placid...right in the heart of the village so you... More

I've stayed at the Summit Hotel twice this winter, the last time being over the weekend. I can't think of a reason not to continue staying here. The price is very reasonable; the room was what I'd expect from a pricier hotel; housekeeping is good, there's a large flat screen tv, and wireless internet service was reliable. The hotel is...
