The ablutions available to the campgroung (there are 2 but only one is normally in use) are pretty disgusting - and get worse with every change of management at the resort. It seems that part of the clientele is an impoverished river-fishing community who have never been adequately trained in the basic principles of using bathrooms. The toilets remain unflushed,... John and the rest of the staff at Cremorne go out of their way to provide a friendly welcome and great conversation throughout your stay. The staff was outstanding! The accommodations however were very average. The rooms were hot and muggy without much air circulation. The restaurant served mediocre food and there were a lot of bugs to deal with.... More

Stayed here while doing the sardine run. The bungalows aren't the Hilton but are very comfortable. The views down the river to the sea and over the river to Telegraph Hill are stunning. Wayne and Alex are excellent and friendly barmen. The food is excellent and you can eat at the bar or sit in the restaurant. The resort is... More

Cool place and people, food in the restaurant is awesome. Juan and Brandon were cool, very funny. Absolutely stunning location. Rooms were very clean and lots of hot water. The breakfast is outstanding and I would definately go back

We recently stayed two nights in one of the six B &B rooms with en-suite showers and their own outdoor deck overlooking the gardens towards the Umzimvubu River. The B & B rooms were serviced daily and included a great breakfast in an outdoor enclosure near the swimming pool. Whilst not cheap, there are self-catering cottages and fisherman cottages (very... Stayed here during the summer to to the Sardine Run, and its not cheap by any means, but worth it for the creature comforts while in the middle of nowhere. The food in particulat was fantastic and the meals were large portions and super fresh Fish of course. There are cheaper accommodations available with tents and rooms with fans for... More

Pros: We opted for a Fisherman’s cabin, a single room with four bunkbeds, and we were very comfortable. The bathroom/shower facilities are a short walk from the campgrounds and cabins, and the main reception building / restaurant is also nearby. We had a lovely view of the calm river, and our site had a grill on which we cooked our... More
