We just came back from a four day, three night stay at the Mohonk. We can not say enough about this property. The staff is wonderful, the grounds are immaculate, the food is great and the spa is to die for! We were there for our 25th anniversary. We had never stayed over before, but had been a day guest.... The grounds are gorgeous, the staff were friendly, and the food is fine. The dining room is lovely, but the service has a cafeteria-like feeling that I suppose is unavoidable when they crank through so many people. I think some rooms might be really nice, but mine had an old, stained carpet and saggy bed that minimized the charm of... More

This place is a rorschach test. It is simply the most beautiful place you have ever stayed. But only if you value natural beauty and old fashioned charm, and maybe wish to leave the 21st century behind. If your cup of tea is a Las Vegas experience with glitzy shows, an alcoholic buzz, and frenetic pace, this is not for... More

My daughter graduated from nearby SUNY New Paltz, and we went to the Mohonk House for a celebration Sunday brunch. I was extremely disappointed at how handicap unfriendly Mohonk House is. (My mother-in-law requires a wheel chair). Not only is there an absence of ramps, but Mohonk House charges $5 for handicap parking. The only good part of my experience... More

We're so sorry that you were disappointed with your visit, especially on such an important celebration day. We continue to develop and implement plans to enhance the accessibility of our historic property. A $5 fee is charged for valet parking. This fee is waived for guests who need wheelchairs. Thank you for your comments as we are always looking for... More

Decent food, slow service with spotty at best attention by the wait staff. 2 1/2hours from beginning to end of supper, really?? and it wasn't us sitting and being chatty, it was us waiting on service and food.. More

Spent the night here. Plenty to do at the Mountain House, plenty of hiking, and awesome views. The House is very old, but kept in very good condition. No TV's in the rooms. I think a good getaway for couples, not sure if kids would enjoy since no TV. Overall, a good experience. More

Mohonk Mountain House was all that I desire when it comes to a relaxing place to step away from it all. My husband and I spent two nights there for our first anniversary. The staff is friendly and very helpful- they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable while maintaining a pleasant professional demeanor. Enough about the... More

Lots Of renovations going on but its a beautiful resort with tons of things to do. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Food isn't outstanding but it's better than average. Stayed in 571. Nice room with windows on 4 sides. Asked for a loaner tv. More

A few days ago, my two sisters and I booked breakfast here knowing that a meal entitled us to wander the grounds a bit. Living in NYC, I had always heard of the Mohonk Mountain House but had never made it here (a few hours north of the city). We drove here on a cool, foggy morning, and everything about... More

No doubt about it, the setting is spectacular, the grounds amazing, and the hotel historic. After that said, you have to like this kind of experience. For the money, the rooms are okay and the food okay, but I can't go much above that. If you have kids and the weather is good, I can see the attraction though, it's... More
