Ate here for dinner (see my review) and then stayed in rooms on second floor just over street level. Unfortunately, the Saturday night bar scene kept us up until 4am with drunk 20 somethings spilling out onto the street below us. This looks like a popular venue for singles, old & young in the main bar or the Tiki bar... More

I'm not from Port Jervis, but drive through every year on our way to Glen Spey. What a great find. We usually don't take Jersey Avenue, but for some reason, this time our GPS took us that way. I'm so glad it did. The service was very good and friendly, the menu offered a variety of options, the prices are... More

Stayed in Port Jervis for their Cruzport night in August. I wanted something close and the Erie filled the bill. The Erie was a Victorian hotel. It has a resturant and bar down stairs with high ceilings. It has good food and a friendly atmosphere, it is also where you check in. You receive two keys, one to the front... More

This place was built in 1890 and renovated after a fire in the 1990s. The rooms are small, 1890's size I suppose, and I know that bothers some folks. Two things that might bother folks even more are the steps that must be climbed to the rooms and the music that is likely to reach the rooms from the bar... More

Planned a one night stop-over on a trip to PA. While size was what we expected per previous reviews I'm not sure where the 3.5 & 4 star reviews came from. Although It wouldn't take much to get it there. I certainly had higher expectations. Check in is at the Bar. We didn't really have a problem with that. We... More

Was visiting my girlfriend in the Port Jervis area in November last year, and decided to give the Erie hotel a try, considering it was close to the train station and closer to the main street and shops in the area. I arrived early in the morning, at about 11:15am, the doors to the bar area were not open at... More

First of all, let me say I am a 61-year old male who was in Port Jervis on business which will flavor some of this review. I had stayed in another hotel 10 miles away from Port Jervis on a Thursday night, but had car trouble the next day which required my car to be in the shop overnight. So... More

The Erie Hotel is, as its name suggests, an old [1890's] railroad hotel. Three stories, rooms on 2nd and 3rd. Steep climb, but I was offered help with my bag. Stairs and halls none too clean. The rooms and bath are small, but clean and comfortable. Cable TV, no wi-fi. Housekeeping might wish to pay some attention to detail: no... More
