I got a groupon for the Rhinecliff. We stayed two nights and it was very nice. We had an excellent breakfast each morning. The resturant was not open yet(for dinner), to early in season. We enjoyed going into Rhinebeck for dinner and drinks. The people in the town were so friendly and nice. We liked the noise of the train,... More

My husband and I had a fantastic night and morning at the Rhinecliff recently. The room was amazing with perfect views of the Hudson. The dinner was fantastic; the service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant was so cozy. The dining room was a "well equipped" ski loge of sorts; everything is classically rustic... More

We had a family wedding and rehearsal dinner here and it was first rate. The food was excellent at both meals and at the breakfast, and the staff was first-rate. We took over all the rooms in the hotel, and I frankly do not understand some of the negative comments. It is a railroad hotel near the tracks so you... More

This hotel is so not worth it. It is not at all what it seems on the web site. Our room was filthy. smashed bugs on the walls and no one ever wiped it off. splatters on the wall behind the toilet, Spiders EVERYWHERE, huge cobwebs that had to be there for months, globs of conditioner on the floor of... For 270 dollars a night (excluding taxes), we were expecting something along the lines of a 4 or 5 star boutique hotel. What we got was more of a 2 or at most 3 star experience. Eventhough the hotel went through a 5 million dollar renovation a few years back, the inside of the hotel was already run down, with... More

My husband and I purchased a groupon for 2 nights, 1 dinner for this lovely inn. What a pleasant surprise! Clean, lovely room, fabulous bathroom, room overlooks the hudson, wonderful breakfast, great food, pleasant and friendly employees. Just use the earplugs to help sleep through the occasional amtrak train that passes by. Room is air conditioned. Many bed and breakfasts... More

We had our wedding reception and rehearsal dinner here and it was spectacular! We had liked James and the banquet room upon first meeting, and he and his staff didn't disappoint. They went above and beyond - catered to our every needs to make the planning go without a hitch. Our guests have been raving about the food and hotel... More

Charming location with wonderful view of the Hudson. Four star dining (AMAZING breakfast included in room rate), friendly, helpful staff. Our room was very nice and very clean, with high ceilings and interesting details; my only complaint is the lack of surface space, but we managed. Great bathroom with giant shower stall and big whirlpool tub. Comfy bed with nice... More

The historic Rhinecliff Hotel is right on the railroad tracks. All day long until around 10 p.m. trains go by, tooting. After 10 the freight trains start and the hotel rumbles until close to midnight. While the setting along the Hudson is lovely (without trains) you've got to love trains! Also if you stay on the 2nd floor, you hear... More

Just ate there today. We had the pork for 2; it was sooo juicy. Also had the razor clams and softshell crabs. We were there with some friends and had a blast. The food was amazing. I had never had some of the items on the menu and was a little worried, but we were assured that all the seafood... More
