I stayed here on business for three nights in May. The room was being paid for by the host agency. Otherwise, I would have sought other arrangements. The hotel is just plain run-down. It wasn't filthy, but it wasn't clean either. The heating/cooling in the room is antiquated and the tile and tub in the bathroom was in poor repair.... More

Two of us stayed at the Rochester Plaza Hotel for one night (5/18/12). The impression we got walking through the doors was that it was a classy place, with a large, well-lit lobby and a professional, uniformed staff. I'd made my reservation online, via Hotwire, and check-in was relatively simple. I did have to provide a credit card for incidentals,... More

Unforgiveably rude front desk staffer ( dark-haired white male in 30s, with no name tag or discernable uniform) who should be retrained or fired.shabby, peeling wallpaper. crumbling plaster visible. Corner room - 6th floor - way cool awesome view - then you take a look around - beetle on one of the beds (yes, a beetle, a damn bug).. I would love to attach a pic but don't have the hook up - so the phone, it's the wiring - that's it.. there is NOTHING there except the handle..... More

We stayed one night for the Flower City Marathon. Our heat was on and couldn't be turned off, very loud night -slamming doors and lots of activity in the hallway until about 2:30am. When we mentioned it the next morning we were told temp was controlled in hallway? That's a first - there was control in the room wonder what... More

The whole thing is somewhat worn down and outdated. Almost everything suffers from a lack of renovation. The breakfast is very poor - no warm food. Staff is helpful and friendly. The room was worn down but clean and the pillow-test (does it smell clean ?) was positive. More

We stayed at the Rochester Plaza Hotel for one night after being bumped from our flight in April 2012. The hotel was clean, up to date, and the the staff welcoming and professional. A decent breakfast was offered with many hot choices and the dinner menu was varied. It is in a decent, safe area of downtown Rochester and near... More

Last month, I stayed at this hotel while I attended a convention nearby. Overall, I would say the staff were friendly and professional but the hotel was not luxurious. The bed was king-sized but it seemed to have grooves in it, one on either side, and so if I didn't position my body just perfectly it was not that comfortable.... More

When we checked in, the girl at the front dest was extremely rude! We got our room key and went up to our room, only to find that the room hadn't been cleaned, the beds were unmade and there were clothes on the floor! We got a new room - the toilet and bathtub looked dirty, the wallpaper was peeling... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night, and the person who checked us in was EXTREMELY rude and not welcoming at all. I could not believe the way she spoke to us in such a tone that I didn't even want to stay. So, we go up to the 5th floor and we find that we are checked into... More
