I found the Black Walnut Bed and Breakfast while searching online for a bed and breakfast near Ithaca, NY for a short vacation/anniversary get-a-way. My spouse and I traveled to Trumansburg, after returning our daughter to Rochester for her summer employment. We had talked about one day engaging in a tour of the Finger Lake wine region, and we had... More

Many thanks to Daniel and Kristin for choosing the Black Walnut for their 3-night stay. For an innkeeper, it is truly a delight to have guests as nice and interesting and fun as Daniel and Kristin. More

I travel the state for work and have found this wonderful B&B on the in Trumansburg/Interlaken NY and have stayed here several times. The hosts are wonderful, friendly and full of information to help you with the area. Jack makes a wonderful breakfast to start you day off and to make the day even more fun and easy there is... More

Last minute idea to go to Finger Lake area became a great find in a B&B. Jack is very attentive to his guests and makes you feel right at home. He has great suggestions on area restaurants and his breakfast was outstanding. Hope to return sometime.

We stayed at the Black Walnut because I had a bedandbreakfast.com gift certificate and we used it for the first night of our trip to the Finger Lakes. Unfortunately, we booked the remaining nights in a hotel. We were so disappointed with ourselves for not booking all nights with Jack at his charming b&b. We were the only guests on... More

This was a first stay at a B&B for my husband and I. It was a thoughtful Christmas gift from our son. The Black Walnut B&B was cozy, inviting, and home-like. Jack was the perfect host...offering us a glass of wine, talking to us and showing us around our suite and the inn. He offered to help us with maps... More

My husband and I and a group of our friends stayed here recently. It is a wonderful, cozy B&B. Jack was a wonderful innkeeper and made us feel at home. The rooms are all nicely decorated and clean. There is a guest kitchen stocked with all the necessities of home. The breakfast in the morning was phenomenal. We will definitely... More

The reviewer was a part of a group of 8 that stayed at the Black Walnut B&B April 20th. Everyone in the group was fun, gracious, polite, and a pure joy for me as the innkeeper to have at our inn! Many thanks. More

My husband and I stayed here this past September since we were in town for the German Fest at Lucas Vineyards and wanted to be located close by. Neither of us had ever stayed at a B&B before because we were unsure about how comfortable it would feel for us staying in someones home and sharing breakfast with strangers, forced... More

My husband and I stayed at the Black Walnut Inn at the end of September. Everything was great. The owner offered us a glass of wine as soon as we got there and showed us to our room, which was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was in a separate room but was private to our room and was huge. The... More

We recently spent a weekend at the Black Walnut. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jack was a great host, he made sure we were comfortable, made restaurant recommendations for us, and introduced us to our new favorite wine! It's conveniently located, close to both the Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake wineries. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was huge.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Black Walnut while in the area for a wedding. It is in a great location, near wineries, a cidery, state park with nice walking trails, and not too far from Ithaca. Breakfast each day was amazing and Jack, the Innkeeper, was a great source of information for places to visit and restaurants to... More
