My husband and I spent 2 nights at Dar Adrar in April and really enjoyed our stay. To be honest, we weren't sure about it at first - it was a bit of a culture shock to arrive in the very rural and rustic village of Imlil after the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, and when we arrived at the... More

After trekking this was an oasis of peace and comfort. Food was very good, Hamid was exceptionally kind and hospitable, the view from the terrace was enchanting. Great value for money. Already looking forward to my next trip. More

My wife and I recently spent several days at the Dar Adar guest house. Mohamed, the owner, and Hamid, the manager, were friendly, welcoming and helpful, and made our stay perfect from start to finish. The house is in a truly superb location, equal if not better to that of far more expensive places nearby. The decor is earthy and... More

Mohamed Aztat does it again... not only is he pretty damn excellent at organising treks he also runs a great guesthouse in Imlil. I spent one night with 5 friends in April, arriving from a 6-day trek and it was an oasis of comfort for the weary. It is good value, but don't expect riad-style luxury - you are still... More

This is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are basic but clean, there are plenty of blankets if it is chilly and some rooms have fires. The location is worth going for in itself plus the friendly, helpful people and great dinners make us want to go back again and again . More

We stayed here for one night after a three day trek organised by Mohammed. It was comfortable, clean and homely with lots of hot water for showers. The evening meal was fabulous, home cooked and plenty of it. We were looking forward to breakfast on the terrace but decided to set off at 5.30am to return to Marrakech for another... More

Sadly we only stayed one night here - it was the highlight of our trip to Morocco and we really, really enjoyed our stay. The riad arranged a taxi to pick us up from our hotel in Marrakesh and drop us off in the village. It was on time and cost a fraction of the amount fellow travelers had paid... More

This is a basic guest house, but delightfully located up a small hill at the edge of Imlil giving a wonderful panoramic view of Mount Toubkal (highest mountain in North Africa). There are three double bedrooms and meals are efficiently provided. The terrace is something special and we spent a delightful afternoon lazying in the sunshine and enjoying the mountains.... More

A lovely rustic place to stay. Views are amazing from the terrace. All the people who work here are friendly, polite and helpful and they work tirelessly all day. We had two wonderful long walks in the area (both with guides. Mohammed one day and Ibrahim the next who were knowledgeable about the region and seemed to know everyone we... More

When you read about a host you look for words such as hospitable, polite, professional. Well, to that I would add- bravery, goodness and integrity. Dar Ardar’s is nice and welcoming. Rooms can be cold in winter but there is a beautiful warm sitting place; views from the roof tops (with sofas and tables) are fabulous. The place is tastefully... More
