We arrived late in the evening prior to doing the two day trip up Toubkal. The team could not have been more accommodating and looked after us really well. The rooms were lovely and seemed authentic. The guide, Abdu, was a real star. More

We visited Imlil 4 years ago and always said when we came back we would climb toubkal and then stay at the Kasbah to celebrate! We decided to come back on our honeymoon and we couldn't have wished for a more magical experience. The Kasbah is perfectly located and almost floats in the air above the pretty mountain village of... More

We spent 3 nights here in April and had a very relaxing stay. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the food was good. We enjoyed the relaxed feel of the Berber hospitality. However, the standard rooms are extremely basic for the high price and could honestly do with a bit of a spruce up. We did some lovely... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Marrakech souks (Riad Azzar, also great) and then had a driver take us to Imlil. Once arrived the donkeys took our lugggage to the Kashbah where we were met with the very friendly staff (Hajj Maurice who is in charge lives on the castle grounds). Magnificent views from the terrace overlooking the green valley,... More

Located at the Base of the Atlas Mountains, the view is spectacular. The staff of local people could not be more welcoming or accomodating. It is a very real experience and comfortable. The easy introductory walk is well worth taking. They are doing something important here and giving back to the local Berber villages. More

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of April 2012. This is a hotel staffed by local people and therefore called a hospitality centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The informality was relaxing and there was a general thoughtfulness eg hot water bottles in the bed as well as heating.Sadly we were not able to sit on the terrace... We stayed 2 nights here, and we're so glad we did... it was a great experience. On our first afternoon we did an "introductory walk" of about 2 hours, and it was beautiful and fascinating. It whet our appetite, and on the second day we did a 5 hour walk, which was thoroughly enjoyable (but certainly worked the heart in... More

If you come here without any pretensions you will really enjoy Imlil and staying at the Kasbah. They tell you right away that it is not a luxury establishment and if you get that out of your head then you will enjoy the detachment and the privacy of the property. Some people complain that the price is rather high and... More

This is no standard hotel. In fact it portrays itself as something very different, and with complete justification. It's a centre for Berber hospitality and should be a magnet for people seeking not only that different experience but also a refreshing contrast to the hustle bustle and charms of centres like Marrakech. Hospitality is at the core of the whole... More

Beautiful setting and far more relaxed than Marrakech, great choice to spend the final two days of our holiday here. On balance felt expensive but you are paying for the location! Gorgeous scenery and fantastic range of walks on your door step. Worth paying for a guide to get your bearings at least. Lovely sun terraces to sit and relax... More
