the breakfasts on the roof deck are AMAZING and the home made mango chutneys are reason enough to go there. My friend and i were backpacking and treated ourselves to a couple of nights here and were not disappointed. i would definitely recommend this to any travellers. The hotel and coffee shop are great. The hotel is situated in a large old colonial building. The bedrooms are simple and clean with antique furniture. The aircon and fan are very much appreciated. Zanzibar Coffee House is a great place to stay if you really want to be immersed in the atmosphere of Stonetown. Located in the city-centre, in the narrow streets where it's easy to get lost. Stayed for a few night at the Macciato room and it was very nice! The breakfastroom on the rooftop had a great view and a fantastic breakfast. Lots of frech fruit, pancakes, bread, jam and more. Great place, lovely rooms, not the best location for first visit's to Stone Town because it's hard to find if you don't know the streets of Stone Town or if you have bad sense of direction.
