Just a tremendous wilderness experience. The ten new tents are replete with reusable eco-friendly bathroom supplies, (hot) showers, romantic bedding and upholstery, tasteful room decor, and a fabulous view of the Ntungwe river from the bed, bath and beyond. The night sounds at IWC are off-the-charts, with eerie critters, predators and primates all within earshot at times during the blackout.... More

We stayed for 2 nights with Neil and his team and loved Ishasha. I'm not sure what happened to the previous reviewer but our stay was brilliant. We stayed in one of the new tents and couldn't fault it. We had no problem getting hot water - in fact the member of staff was waiting for me to finish my... More

Poor welcome by demotivated personel. Tents 9 and 10 : tasteless decoration, not clean. Rooms are being upgraded with decent bathroom. Don't expect to be able to shower with hot water. If you are lucky, the staff will bring you a bucket of hot water at the time you want it. Ask for a tent with chemical toilet, unless you... More

We stayed here over Christmas for 3 days and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The tents are comfortable (note that the new tents have better views if you really want to come this far to sit in camp and not get out and about!) and the food is outstanding - extremely good & very well presented. All of the... More

We had 2 nights at the camp and whilst the Lions were not in residence over any of our drives the camp more than lived up to our expectations which given the name wilderness meant we went for the location and not expecting ***** pampering. However the tents were to a good standard and whilst not everything worked all the... More

We stayed in the wilderness camp on X-mas day and enjoyed our time immensely. We stayed in on of the new tents (if that's what you can call it ;-)). The bed was very comfy, they have bush showers which you need to order and the water was mixed at the requested temperature. Our lunch was a nice two course... More

A warm welcome and this really did feel like being in the wilderness. Large tent and plenty of hot water for a shower in the morning. Good food served in a lovely central area overlooking the river, games, books and magazinesare available if you want them which is a nice touch for those who are there for longer stays, unfortunately... This was by far the most expensive accomodation we stayed in during our visit to Uganda so we were expecting something fairly special. We stayed here for 2 nights. Unfortunately the experience just didn't reflect the price. We have also stayed at a number of tented camps in Tanzania and this just didn't compare to what you get there. Our... More

We only stayed one night as an intermediate stop between QE. NP and BWINDI NP but we advise future travellers at least a second night . Camp location is outstanding along the Ntungwe river and tents are constructed with space in between to get more pricvacy . Central lounge , dining and relaxing area under one tatched roof but close... More

The camp is by an attractive river & has a large tree full of nesting weaver birds. The food was good & the tents clean & comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for the bucket shower. The camp has a good environmental attitude. A very good place to stay to explore the Ishasha region from. More
