A great place with very friendly people. Great accommodation on the shore of a crater lake. Very quiet and exclusive. Good food, well served. Very professional. Good value for your money.

Friendly and professional welcome into this well situated lodge. Cosy and comfortable setting. Large bungalows in traditional african style, very nice restaurant and bar, very quiet place. Beautiful view on the water. Swimming pool. Close to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. A place we highly recommend.

Lovely stay! The pictures, do not do this place justice. Beautiful, rustic location. Great food and plenty of it! Massage was a great deal at $20 an hour. Wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was wonderful. Definitely splurge on the captains table for a sunrise breakfast. The only negative for me was the smell of the shower water.

A good lakeside location with a spacious chalet. We stayed 3 nights. Generally all good rather than 'that special place'. Our chalet was clean and well serviced and water was hot. We stayed at Jacana Safari Lodge for 3 nights over the new year period and welcomed 2012 in with style!! The staff were just fantastic and went out of their way to cater to our every whim, which included pina colada cocktails for sundowners on New Years Eve. The rooms were spacious and the bed very comfortable (had 3 of...

A wonderful respite after a long day of travel. The traditional sundowner in the open air bar that overlooked the lake. The service was impeccable, and the accommodations could not have been better! Monkeys and Elephants have been know to come visit. Simon Gluckman of Intrepid Travels set this up for us, and everything was 1st class!

I recently stayed at Jacana safari lodge and can say it is one of the best places I've ever stayed (and I've travelled extensivly round the world).
As others have said the location is stunning, on the edge of the lake, in the middle of the forest, with wild animals all around, a hippo under our window, chimps in the...

I led a group of photographers on a three day Safari Photography Workshop at Jacana and couldn't have been happier. We had ample space for formal workshops and were well placed to access the park to put our knowledge into practice. The food was exceptional and the chef went out of her way to make the food as tasty and...

The lodge is located 11km from the main road along a very bumpy road into the bush. We were based here for game drives into Queen Elizabeth National Park which was a short drive along the main road - on the way we saw some large game including elephants.
The facilities were good although there were some issues, mainly the...
