The Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel was the place of choice to stay as a part of my Polar Passport WInter Wine Week in March 2012. An excellent deal, my boyfriend and I stayed for three nights, with a free room upgrade when we showed our Finger Lakes Wine App on our phones. Our room was immaculate - beautiful queen sized... The Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel was the location of a Titanic 100th Anniversary dinner in April 2012. Being almost 5 hours away, we decided to spend the night at the hotel and received a slight discount as other attendees did. Having not spent much time in this area, I was unsure what to expect. This hotel far exceeded our expectations.... More

Upscale, new, clean and friendly full service hotel. Excellent location. Near the Seneca Lake wineries. Walk to downtown Watkins Glen. About 25 minutes to Hammondsport and other Lake wineries.Good food, excellent service. Nice bar with interesting locals. HUGE rooms and bathrooms. Unbelievably comfortable beds. One of the highest priced hotels. More

Someone wrote in Budget Travel that the Finger Lakes was the most beautiful wine region in the world. This must have been written by someone who has never been to Italy, France or even Spain. But a trip into the Finger Lakes and a stay at the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen is indeed a very nice time. On a... More

You could get a beautiful, 3-4 star boutique hotel in NYC, DC, Chicago -- you name any big city -- for the extremely high prices you pay for this glorified Ramada. How could they charge such inflated prices ($350 for some rooms), when well less than half of the rooms have lakeside views, and at best decent decor/setting, in a... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Harbor Hotel several times and have been pleased each time. The hotel has a wonderful view of Seneca Lake and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant is quite good. We stay here every time we are in the area for events at Watkins Glen International Speedway. It... More

In the early part of May, 2012, we were on a trip to the Finger Lakes area in New York state. After looking over the various Ma and Pa type motels we picked the Harbor Hotel. What a great find! You know you are in for something special just entering the well appointed lobby. Chris, our check in manager, did... More

For the area this seems to be the best hotel, IMO. The view down the lake was beautiful. I recommend a deck as it was usable and nice place to sit outside with an elevated unobstructed view. The good: room was clean, awesome view great location for most local attractions The bad: pillows were lousy, bad food was mediocre, breakfast... More

My husband and I stayed at the Harbor Hotel for our wedding anniversary. I booked a lake view king with the romance package. Everything was perfect. The room was very nice, clean and every detail to impress. The romance package included turn down, champagne, roses and chocolate covered strawberries. We walked into our room and found “rose” petals on the... More
