My friend and I were really excited to be able to visit this virgin rainforest area after coming from Canada. We were met by Victor, one of the guides at the airport and taken to a holding area in town. Since they had to wait for another flight and more guests, we had a chance to re-pack and only take... Excellent service. Accommodations are rustic as advertised, but very clean and comfortable. The meals were great! Very nice presentation and taste. You WILL hear in the middle of the night all kind of wild animals so light sleepers bring earplugs. The lodge provides 4 hours of electricity per night via generator, so flashlights are a must as well as bottled... More

A really amazing place in the middle of these amazonian area. We stayed there for four days and we enjoyed every single minute. You have organized trips to chose from but also free time to have a walk on prepared routes. A very peaceful lake is nearby where we loved to spend some time. Make sure to bring enough mosquito... I spent a week in Peru taking 2 days out of my journey to come to the Ecoamazonia Lodge. I was pleasantly surprised. While I am sure the more expensive lodges are nicer, with more high end amenities and gourmet food, I am glad I stayed here. It is a great option for those on a tight budget. I did... More

Bit of a delayed review - stayed here end of October 2012. Had a great time here, came as part of a tour and expected a lot worse from all the reviews! The whole lodge is about a 3/4 hour boat ride (arriving) from Porto Maldonado and the setting is beautiful. I stayed for 3 nights, there were longer packages... More

This lodge made living in the amazon doable. Many of the comforts of home such as a bed, shower, and some power made the leg of the trip doable. They had power from 6-10 PM daily and some relaxation spots around the lodge. The kitchen provides decent food and somewhat cold drinks. When you are in the forest, you miss... More

Stayed here in August and had an incredible experience. The lodge is beautiful yet basic; you are staying in the middle of the amazon! The hotel staff were incredible-smiling and helpful with anything you needed. our guide was very knowledgeable with over 20 years experience-and he was passionate about his job which made a huge difference! We had at least... More

We originally planned to go to Manu from Cusco, but had only 4 days. Instead we chose to fly to Puerto Maldonado and take a boat up river to the Ecoamazonia lodge. We were very happy with our decision are we could actively enjoy the jungle without the constant driving. The lodge is in a large area leased from the... More

We booked the trip here as an extension to our Charity Fundraising Trek along the Salkantay Trail. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but overall I really enjoyed the experience. The lodges were of a high standard and comfortable and I found the excursions offered to be varied, sometimes challenging but very interesting. You do need to consider that... More

We booked this fairly last minute, and chose the lodge because of the different excursions offered and it's proximity to Puerto Maldonado. The lodge itself completely surpassed expectations - it felt like a luxury resort with huge, spotless cabins, a beautiful pools, hammocks overlooking the river, and beautiful grounds. All accessible only by boat! Yes, there were some insects, but... More
