We stayed here for our first camping trip in NZ for 5 nights in the last week in April. The management are welcoming and suggested a couple of sites for us that were a little more sheltered due to the wind that they'd had the night before and the fact we were with children - which was thoughtful. The site... More

The campsite is good quality but having to pay for showers. Come on! Everything was neat and tidy, as per previous comments, the kitchens were a little lacking in utensils but we had our own so no problem. Would stay here again if we were in the area. Has a pool (heated)

Hi there and thanks for your review and coming to stay with us. Our communal kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezers, microwaves, toasters, kettles and a box of pans and utensils for those who travel light. We do charge $1 for 7 minutes of hot water for our showers, this enables us to keep our tariff reasonably priced for a... More

Had 3 days here while at a wedding. Facilities spotless and grounds were fine with good shade and good sized sites. Owners/managers were very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if in the area.

We stayed at the Mercury Bay Holiday Park over the long weekend of Auckland Anniversary. It was a great stay even though the weather wasn't perfect we still had a great time. The camp site size is very accommodating and we were able to put two large tents and a gazebo on 1 1/2 sites leaving plenty of room to... More

Whitianga is an attractive resort on the Coromandel Peninsular, popular with Kiwis at holiday times, and one of my favourite areas on North Island, and one I intend to visit again. Just one night with a campervan on a powered site was not enough but all we could spare on this occasion. Extremely pleasant and helpful host, intent on presenting... More

Mercury bay campground was te best place I have ever camped. Camped here for a couple of nights. Really well set out with friendly owners and nice big plots to camp and park in. The kitchens and bathrooms are pretty clean and there is a nice pool and play area. Right in the middle of everything and really easy to drive to other places in the area.

We have stayed several times at Mercury Bay Holiday Park. We love it for its location, we can walk to town, a bakery down the road as well as a garage. Close to the boat ramp etc. The camp is always so clean and the tent sites are massive so you are not bumper to bumper with your neighbours like... More
