Superb accommodation with our own lounge and two patio areas for both the morning and evening sun. Lovely touches like nightlights so you could find your way at night to the bathroom. The freshly cooked breakfasts set us up for the day. John and Lee were excellent hosts offering great advice on local amenities and beaches. John even provided two... More

Thank you MargaretA998. It is always a pleasure to host responsive and considerate guests such as yourselves. We do enjoy sharing information about local beaches and activities when we are fortunate to live in such an amazing part of New Zealand. More

This is a truly wonderful B and B in a lovely part of the Coromandel. The hosts are perfect and they leave no stone unturned to make sure that you stay is as good as it possibly can be. The rooms are stunning with contemporary style and everything you could need plus some little surprises. And the breakfasts are the... More

Appreciate those nice positive comments especially from people as well-travelled as you two. You know you will be made most welcome for that next visit, and it will be our challenge to keep up those breakfasts ! Hope D's leg is now on the way to recovery. More

On arrival we were given a lovely welcome & then shown to our unit (detached). This was just what we wanted, very well presented & certainly kept that way during our stay. John & Lee gave us a super breakfast each morning, that really set us up for the day. We both felt very relaxed at the end of our... More

Thank you. It was a pleasure hosting you both. The relaxing experience you mention is surely a great deal due to the very special location where we are privileged to live. Also very much is due to the kind and considerate people you are, which we really appreciated. More

Unfortunately we only stayed for one night. Attentive hosts, great privacy, superb breakfast and great local knowledge. A swim in Flaxmill Bay and a meal at the recommended "Eggcentric" made this stay a memorable start to our lightning tour of NZ

Really appreciate your time to make these positive remarks. It certainly was a "lightning" trip but you did energetically manage to do a lot of the special things in our special part of the world. Would love to host you both for a little longer next time. More

We recently stayed here for 5 nights. John and Lee are greta hosts, and the cottage we stayed in was most comfortable. Walking distance to Flaxmill bay and Lonely bay, and only a short drive to 2 of NZ's top attractions, Cathedral Cove and Hot water beach. Highly recommended

Thank you Lotuseaters42, your response made our day! It reinforces the lovely area we live in close to beaches and the main attractions. Your beautifully presented recipe is now in our folder so thank you also for that. More

We selected Flaxhaven Lodge mainly because of the wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor but also because we had been to this area in the past and knew it was a part of the country we wanted to revisit. Lee and John are delightful hosts and straight away made us feel comfortable in sharing their little piece of the world. The cottage... More

Flaxhaven Lodge has so many wonderful revues on tripadvisor, it's hard to think of any superlatives that haven't been used!
