My husband and I have been staying here for the spring NASCAR race for at least eight years. The rooms are comfy and clean, but fixtures are outdated. The rooms have new flat screen televisions. The bar is nice for drinks and chatting with the locals. It's nice returning to a place where the owner remembers his customers. More

My family drove from south Florida for a fun weekend of skiing at Beech Mountain. We were so excited to be staying at the "Top of the Beech." Our stay was a BIG disappointment. We called to make arrangements for a late check in like the website said. We were told that if we didn't arrive by 11:30 p.m., we... More

We had a really enjoyable July weekend at Beech Alpen Inn. My husband was needing some time away from the heat and humidity of summer, and the Beech Alpen Inn did not disappoint - highs in the 70s during the day and quite comfortable at night. We didn't even need to use air conditioning (though there was an air conditioner... More

We did not stay at the hotel but rent a condo and have patronized the restaurant several times last season and it was excellent, The crab soup was to die for. My wife ordered the 10 dollar cheese quesadilla, and I ordered the prime rib. The quesadilla was soggy and cold, served with warm salsa right out of a jar... More

My wife and I spent a weekend here to be close to the skiing at Beech Mtn. We did a fair amount of searching and were underwhelmed with the hotel choices in the area. BA looked like the best of the bunch. It's not a bad hotel, just awfully dated, and overpriced for what you get. Crummy furniture, cheap toilet... More

I have never stayed during ski season, but in summer, this place is beyond compare. It is not over luxurious, but its comfortable and is loaded with charm and a peaceful atmosphere. There aren't many places to got to really cool off in a southern heat wave (100+) when even Boone is hot, but this place is cool no matter... More

We stayed here with our two young kids and another couple with their kids. It was clean. A little to be desired in terms of modern ammenities. My friends room had a TV that pretty old. The young attendant told us incorrectly that kids 7 and under could ski for free at Beech. We got adult discount tickes with no... More

My family and I hoped for a fun mini vacation to Beech Mountain. We stayed at the Top of the Beech Inn which is part of the Beech Alpen Inn. On their web site it says walking distance to ski resort. NOT TRUE. By car travel time approx. 10 minutes. The room was musty and dirty with furniture at least... More

This hotel was very clean the room was large with sitting area at fireplace. It also had a large window seat with a great view and we twice saw groups of deer. The refrigerator and microwave came in handy. There was a heater in the bathroom which was great. But I was most impressed with the food. We had dinners... More
