A spontaneous trip on a Friday afternoon with no place to stay didn't seem like such a bad idea. Little did I know it was artist in the park weekend, and my idea for a secluded cabin was quickly shattered. After riding and calling around for a few hours we passed the Inn. It was beautiful but we couldn't afford... More

Last year we happened upon this quaint little motel/inn and decided to return again this year. Deborah, the proprietor is a gem. She is witty, warm, friendly and will do anything to make your stay special. The room is old and small, but the decor is wonderful. This stay it happened to be rainy weather and we could not sit... The Mountainaire Inn offers some nice touches to the guest experience that other places do not. While our guest room with its king size bed and bathroom were very small and decor was quite dated compared to other places, the Inn and staff offered some nice warm touches that helped add value to the rental rates. We arrived late Friday... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and mostly thank you for being a guest here. We value your input and want you to know that we are looking at possible changes to the window treatments that will better block the light and fit with our efforts to preserve the character and integrity of the inn. The owners are so friendly and helpful and the rooms are quaint and cozy! The owners went out of their way to make everything so comfortable. I was there for Winterfest and we had a blast! It actually snowed so it was very nice to be within walking distance from restaurants and stores. Donna

These are very cozy, romantic and charming cottages which we absolutely enjoyed. The folks who run the place are extremely helpful and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms/cottages are always cleaned daily and firewood is replaced ! We were delighted to return this year and see that everything was once again very enjoyable ! We rated 5... More

It's not always about the accommodations, it's also about the folks you meet along the way. In the case of the Mountainaire Inn, both come together to make this a special place. Deborah, Jim, Donna and Claudine were so nice to us. We felt valued as customers and treated like friends. If you want to enjoy Blowing Rock, this is... More

We have always enjoyed Blowing Rock, but never more than last weekend when we stayed at Mountainaire. Our room was cozy, clean and well appointed, and the grounds are meticulously kept and beautiful. The inn is so well managed and guest-friendly. We ate at a restaurant recommended by the front desk, and it was excellent. The night we stayed we... More

Stayed at a great little inn last night in Blowing Rock, NC. Quaint, charming and more comfortable than any high end chain ever visited. Inkeeper- Deborah was as delightful a person as I've ever met on the road. If you'd like the feeling of staying in a friends home- give this cozy inn a try. I'll return there whenever I'm... More

My husband and I took a spare of the moment trip, we drove by and was impressed by the Inns appearance. I am a nut about cleanliness. We went in,the lobby was decorated for fall and cozy and the lady at desk was very helpful and nice, she recommended a fabulous restaurant and everything. The room was small but very clean... More
