The place is nice, with a good use of space, but it felt like they were trying to hard to achieve being cool. Maybe we are just not the target audience. Our room was clean, and the design was certainly unique. Great shower. In room coffee was really great. Also, the in room connector for the laptop to TV was... More

I loved this hotel and everything about it. From check-in the staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating. We had a group in town for a meeting at the Friday Center at UNC, and the Hotel staff was able to assist us with complementary shuttles to and from the facility, as well as a shuttle to and from the restaurant we... Not within walking distance of the University, but only a few minutes away. Very helpful staff. Not as many food choices within walking distance now that the deli has closed, but they have an ok selection of food in the hotel. Very modern in styling, nice lighting in rooms, have equipment to connect your computer to the tv. Could have... More

After years of staying at two of Chapel Hill's "top-rated" hotels, we decided to give the Aloft a try. We were not disappointed. The service was top notch. Everyone was pleasant and seemed to eager to please. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Bathroom sliding-door was a bit weird and didn't leave much privacy, but a large shower made up... More

The folks at the fromt desk are top notch. The only issue I have is the AC/heating which is at the front pf the room and blows to the left side of the bed, you're either blasted with heat/cold. More

This was our first stay with Aloft. Although concerned about some reviews that called it "funky". We arrived and have been very impressed. From the minute Andrew checked us in untill we left 2 days later, we could not have asked for better accommodations. Eceryone was very friendly and helpful including the valet service. For someone who usually does the... More

This is my 3 stay at his hotel and I am impress every-time I stay here. From the moment my co-worker and I entered the lobby, we were greeted by both Corey and Brett who where working at the front desk. They both give us excellent service and didn't miss a beat with handle other guests. It was my co-workers... More

Stayed at Aloft 4 nights with friends for a wedding weekend. We enjoyed the lobby, the salt water pool, and comfortable beds. Front desk staff (Corey and Josh) were all smiles and extremely helpful with various small things. One morning they even put in our order for breakfast sandwiches before the window closed at 10 (we were getting a late... More

A giant chain hotel pitching itself as a hip boutique hotel, aloft has advantages and disadvantages of both. With a conference discount the price was reasonable ($109/night), the rooms new & clean, the shower very nice, the staff helpful, easy in-and-out. A/C blowers loud, noisy entryway w/ pool table and bar, commercial pop music in elevator, long hallways, wannabe witty... More

Thanks for staying with us- we appreciate the patronage. In the lobby in the mornings, the re:fuel area does feature affordable breakfast option from made to order egg sandwiches, fresh waffles, cut fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt parfaits as well as extensive continental offerings. Pricing starts at $3 for hot made to order items- a great way to start the day! More

Trendy, clean, colorful. The bartop itself changes color and people walk in and out with their dogs. The lobby is smaller than you anticipate. There is no continental breakfast, the food selection is limited so you will want to prepare for that. Bedding super comfy. Neat comforts in the rooms. Remember that the garage pin is on your room key... More
