Older hotel, clean rooms, great heater! Pillows very comfy! The mini fridge was so cold that my leftovers were slightly frozen the next day, good thing there was also a microwave. Iron and ironing board came in handy. Breakfast wasn't much to write home about, but not bad. Front desk staff was helpful. Great location.

Though this hotel is not on the beach like some houses you may rent, there is a short and sandy path through the back to the beach entry across the street. Stayed here for the second year to run the OBX half marathon. The staff is very nice and very accommodating to the early risers for the race. The rooms are musty and dim and could be updated to brighten the room. The air was stuffy and our side door key didn't work most of the time.

We booked 1 night . Had 5 in our room , so payed extra for a rollaway, which was well worth it. Lobby was clean and staff was very nice. A great location - right off the highway and short trail to the beach, walk to restaurants, nice staff, great price but.... needs renovation. It reminds me of a ski hotel - it gets a lot of heavy use and it shows.
