My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary. It was a wonderful trip. We stayed in the Bimini Twist cottage, and loved it. We bought groceries in town, and cooked in the kitchen. It was well appointed enough that we had everything we needed to cook. The homemade bread was delicious! We ate it with the fresh eggs,... More

If you are looking for a place to unwind the Cottages at Spring House Farm is the perfect solution. The owners Arthur and Zee will do all they can to make your visit memorable and enjoyable. You are greeted when you arrive by Jerry Lee their very friendly dog. (on a side note, some of the cottages are pet friendly.)... More

Stayed in rustic and authentically restored pioneer house with country side view. Enjoyed the daily homemade bread and rich farm fresh eggs. Owners are quite helpful and accommodating. The Appalacian House permits pets which we totally appreciated and our dog had a blast playing with the the owner's friendly dog, Jerry Lee. The kitchen is minimally appointed which made cooking... If you need to destress and relax this place is for you. My husband and I make the trip at least once a year. This is a magical place. We reconnect with each other as well as with nature. The views are amazing. Stitting in the hot tub at night you feel like you can almost touch the stars. No... More

Great mountain hide away! Perfect for a rustic romantic anniversary. The cabin was exactly as pictured on their website. Everything was as advertised. Zee and Arthur are very down to earth and make you feel at home without intruding. We stayed in the Compleat Angler Log Cabin and it had a full kitchen with dishwasher, living room with wood burning... More

My partner and I stayed here for NYE 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Zee and Arthur (and Jerry Lee!) were wonderful caretakers and have such beautiful cabins to offer their guests. I am particularly fond of the fact that the cottages are all eco-friendly and there is also a wildlife sanctuary present on the land. My partner and I... More

This was exactly what we needed. I have to say I am stealing this quote from the guest book. I read it and thought - that is exactly right. Private, quiet and serene. Hosts were perfect and had the right balance between "there if you need than" and "otherwise unseen" - loved Jerry Lee - the dog. The highlight were... More

We loved the stay in our cabin on Spring House Farm. It was located at the end of a one-lane road in a lush forest. All we could see was green. All we could hear were the birds and other wildlife. We did not leave our cabin for three days - except to walk around the farm, relax on the... More

We stayed in the Compleat Angler for 4 nights at the end of April and we loved it. Relaxing on the porch, trying to work out what 4 legged animal had left its footprints on the BBQ cover, wandering around the grounds with Lulu the dog as a guide, seeing a hummingbird for the first time (they are sooo tiny)....
