We got lucky and were able to get a tent site last minute--would advise to book in advance. The atmosphere is relaxing. This campground is well kept, the people staying there and the people running the show are both friendly and courteous. The location is in the Village and everything is within walking distance. Plan to return! More

We had a great time at Teeter's which is located close to most of Ocracoke Islands popular attractions, shopping, restaurants, and the ferry. A great area to bicycle since the campground is located on the back streets with not a lot of traffic. The campground and restrooms are clean and well maintained. Bubbie-the ownner/operator is a great and helpful guy. More

Tetters campground was cool. I liked it, it was cheap and the owners were nice. I like it cause it was a party hole. I like to whole Southern culture. I must say yankees may get offended, so if you dont like rebel flags go to CapeCod. When at Tetters people party, when I go on vaction I don't want... More

My husband and I along with friends, our children and grandchildren, and their children and grandchildren have been staying at Teeter's for 14 years. Bubbie's children and our grandchildren have grown up together. If you like southern hospitality, this is the place to be. The horses are no longer there and the campground is clean. We are retired and spend... More

We stayed because it was very close to the ferry, which we wanted to take at 7:30 AM. We had our own facilities, thank goodness, because one step into the bathroom and I wouldn't go back in. The toilet tank top was off, the handle missing and required manually flushing. I would not have taken a shower in there. I... More

Mid-August 2008 - 5 day stay - A most wonderful experience. Where can you camp on the East Coast and rent a horse for a ride on the ocean beach? Yes, that's Teeter's Campground. The horses and campers are well cared for. No need to repeat the positives already mentioned, but very True. Only thing is beware of the full-time... More

Many of us who have visited Ocracoke & stayed at Teeter's for YEARS hesitate to even write a review. We all know a good thing when we see it. However, the rude slanders of Bubbie (manager) are undeserved. He is one of the kindest, most generous, honest people we have ever known. First of all, the island itself is very... More

My kids, friends and I have stayed at Teeters over the years for many reasons: Shade, sandy/grassy soft tent sites, friendly and helpful owners, HOT showers (the state site on the ocean has no shade, no hot water, and lots of biting flies!). Teeter's campground is dog friendly, kid/family friendly, other campers are friendly-- I've been there with a banjo-playing... More
