We stayed for a night on Nov 19th. We had just a lovely time. The Inn and property are beautiful. It was a lovely, quiet evening in an old home with modern conveniences. There were tones of personal touches, like welcome cards with the guests' names on them, a basket in the morning with your choice of coffee, hot chocolate... More

I just had my elopement wedding at the Mast Farm Inn, and stayed in a cabin at the Inn for the night before. I highly recommend this place! We will be back! The staff was very helpful in making my stay, and wedding day perfect and stress free. The attention to detail is adorable...and they give your stay a "personal... More

Just when we thought the Mast Farm couldn't get any better, any more accomodating, they proved us wrong. We just returned from a stay in the Blacksmith Shop and it was beyond our best expectations. Our thanks to the staff for making our get-away just what it needed to be. Everyone deserves a little Mast Farm in their day. More

My family and I spent 3 nights at Mast Farm Inn during the Halloween weekend. Everything was perfect... the beautiful house, the warm greetings, the cabins, the rustic decor, the courteous staff and all the details. The food was "to dye for"; all fresh gourmet 5 course breakfasts. Danielle, the Chef, made sure to prepare something special for the children.... More

Perhaps most disturbing was the $300 per day fee for the cabin. Had the structure been more charming, larger and better decorated I would have considered the fee reasonable. Perhaps $200 per night during the fall colors season would have been more suitable and realistic...or even $150? We stayed in the Blacksmith Shop for three nights and found it to... More

It's amazing how off-target, negative and dismissive some people can be. Rustic or Rundown? Neither. Rustic and Historic are the words that better describe us and many of our antiques and furnishings. Some travelers would go to Colonial Williamsburg staying in the authentic colonial houses there and write a similar review. People and closets in 1820 were not what closets... More

The Mast Farm Inn is famous in high-country North Carolina, and it works hard to live up to its reputation: a cozy B&B also serving gourmet dinners. The food is "cordon bleu" standard, also for vegetarians. Dinner is a four-course "prix fixe" and with no menu choice (it depends on the fresh, organic produce available at the market): it seemed... We stayed three nights in October 2011. The first room was comfy and romantic, set aside, the bed was great. The second room, (we had to move due to previous reservations) was stuffy and had an uncomfy very squeaky bed, NOT ROMANTIC!! Please repair the bed. The bath was tiny, the sink stopped up and the slippery old tub had... More

We stayed the weekend of October 7. 2011. When we arrived, we were greeted very warmly by the desk attendant who was very detailed in courteous and seemed like she enjoyed her job! When we arrived in our room, which was Aunt Leona's..which is on the top floor dormer we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it really was. Music... More

We stayed for two nights at the B&B. It is in a beautiful setting and apart from the main Inn there are several other buildings -mostly wooden - where we one can stay. We stayed in Granary which is a wonderfully restored buidling that can sleep up to six people. It has a self standing bathroom in one of its... More

We stayed in the main house in Nell's Room--second floor. The bed was very comfortable and comforting. Large room. Our evening started with complimentary champagne in the library accompanied by a father/daughter ensemble--the daughter excellently playing violin and the father on guitar. All original music. They played for an hour. The daughter was one of 3 Watauga County (local) high... More
