My wife and I spent two nights and had a lovely time. Upon arrival we were hosted so generously we instantly felt at home. The breakfast was extra, extra good and I appreciated the vegetarian options. The inn keepers have intimate knowledge of the area, and anyone wanting advice on what to see or do should just go straight to... More

Thank for such a lovely review. We love having all of our runners and not only serving them but cheering them on! It is with pleasure we have such lovely people in our home. We enjoy sharing our fire and exchanging stories. Thank you for choosing us and please visit again. More

We stayed at the inn twice, for the New River Marathon. The area is beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and the inn keepers are real sweet hearts! Breakfast was delicious and having a keurig for coffee/tea/hot chocolate anytime was an added bonus. I highly recommend them!

We are a sponsor every year for the New River Marathon and so enjoy all of our runner guests. It was delightful to have a couple return again and stay with us. We get so much enjoyment from running a station and cheering everyone on and hearing first hand afterwards about each experience. We hope our guests come again next... More

My husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend and head to the mountains. It was close to peak with the leaves changing and Meadowsweet Gardens was a perfect location. We arrived at our charming B&B Friday night and were greated by Debra and Ken. This 19th century farmhouse was so beautiful and decorated just right. Debra and... More

We so enjoyed our guests and felt completely at home with them immediately. It was a pleasure to serve them and we are thrilled the stay was apparently so enjoyable for both of them. Please come visit us again soon! More

This restored late 19th century farm house is just as charming as it gets. The grounds and gardens are beautiful with a wonderful view of the mountains. The breakfast was fantastic. The hosts were gracious and very knowledgeable about the area. It would be a great place for a wedding or group event in one of the prettiest areas of... More

I could feel relaxation the minute I walked in. From the charming "parlor" straight out of another era to the cool luxury of the lawns and pond, what a refreshing break from the "real world." This 19th century farmhouse has been lovingly blended into a modern facility to give the guests excellent service and the grace and charm of a... More

Meadowsweet Gardens was a pleasure to visit. A restored, old farmhouse in the middle of gorgeous gardens, it was relaxing, and rejuvenating. The Rose Room was pretty and comfortable. There was a great room with a homey feeling and tons of books everywhere. There were two different breakfasts. One morning we had an old fashioned breakfast casserole and the next... More

My mother and I stayed in the "Pioneer Room" in the Inn for 3 nights this week (August 23-26 2012) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is an old house (built in the 1880s) that has been added on to and updated. Our room is in the back of the house and we were actually chilly, despite it being summertime.... More

We were in the area and just drove by and stopped in to see if they had a room. We are never this spontaneous, but so glad we took a chance. The inn is beautiful, no A/C or TV , but was not an issue as the nights are cool and we did not care about TV's. The inn keepers... More

This little Inn was a big disappointment for several reasons. First, the Inn has no air conditioning in the rooms, so do not come in the summer months. Secondly, our room was very small and in the morning there was water dripping from the ceiling in both the bedroom & bathroom. Third, breakfast was not anything like I would expect... More

It is unfortunate that this July 4th was one of the hottest on record. Meadowsweet does not have air conditioning and rarly needs it. We do have lots of fans and the good new is, its in the mountains and always cools at night. We had a water leak that was hard to detect and we thought we had repaired... More
