We spent one night in the "Summer Kitchen" which you can get to either by coming through the backyard from the side street, or by coming through the main house, outside, and down a flight of stairs. The best thing about this inn is it is literally in the heart of Old Salem. You are across the street from the Salem Tavern and can tour Old Salem without ever having to get in your car. Two friends and I went to the Zevely Inn for a "Girl's Trip" and couldn't have had better accommodations. Three adjacent rooms were unavailable when I called for reservations, but with the patient assistance of the owner, we came up with a plan that worked wonderfully. Last weekend we experienced a wonderful weekend at the AZ Inn. Linda the Innkeeper couldn't have been nicer. This is a B&B in the center of historic Old Salem, while the building is old the furnishings are excellent. Outstanding service and excellent breakfast made this a weekend to remember. The pros are that it is a lovely old building and a great location in Old Salem - right opposite the Salem Tavern which had great food; definitely eat there - very quiet and our room (on the top, attic floor) had a comfortable (if small!) bed....
