The hotel has a lot of potential - large rooms, exposed brick, wood-beam ceilings - however, the hotel has not updated their decor furniture in what appears to be YEARS. Being deemed "historic" should not mean "old." The staff was polite. The breakfast was nice (continental). Personally, I never felt comfortable in the room because, for lack of better words,... More

Ten of us got together at the Brookstown Inn for a three (some for four) night stay. My room, situated in the main building (where the reception is), as others have stated, was huge, with exposed-brick walls, two double beds, a fridge, a microwave oven and a TV. Not flat-screen, but good reception and picture. It was housed inside a... More

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough! The value for your money is incredible and the hotel is so comfortable! Our party has 6 rooms booked for Easter weekend, and we were all thrilled with our experiences. We were all in the 'suits' which were huge. It was easy to have all 12 of us in any one of the... More

The inn is very good value for money. Our room was enormous, just what we needed for a big sort out before heading for the airport. Close to Old Salem and the town, it was a perfect location. More

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Brookstown and I liked it before, so seems to have taken a nosedive. The room was huge, but dark and musty, with cracked tiles in the bathroom, and looking very shabby. The bed was lumpy. Definitely overpriced for what it was. The contintental breakfast was TERRIBLE (like Days Inn quallity - nothing... More

I was once a loyal guest who stayed at the Brookstown Inn multiple times. In the past, I've given a rave five star review on Tripadvisor and referred friends and colleagues here. Sadly, after my most recent stays, I will never stay at this hotel again. Their hospitality has rapidly declined from excellent to nonexistent (and even downright rude!). From... More

We only stayed one night but loved everything about Brookestown Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was close to Easter and hidden egss in the lobby were a hit with my 8 year old son. I loved the touch off cookies and milk being made available in the lobby in the evening. We have been on the road... More

Have stayed here over a number of years, will not be again. Unfortunately they are declining. One member of staff was excellent, really helpful and friendly... Bar that, I witnessed the manager and other staff members drunk and shouting in the hotel. We got the one of the larger annexe rooms, having stayed in one before, but this was a... More

We booked a two room suite. The hotel room is advertised the room on the web as having a king sized bed, upscale bathroom products, a coffee maker, and robes and a morning paper. Our room had none of these the first night. After questioning the clueless person at the front desk we got a coffee maker for the second... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here Thursday night. The staff was very friendly! The free wine? Not too good. The room was beautiful and spacious. The bed was soft and there was a fridge for our rum. Free coffee all night rocked. But it was the most beautiful hotel ever. Just not as beautiful as my girl. Go check it... More
