My wife and I spent a few days at the end of our honeymoon at Guludo. It was the perfect way to end our time in Mozambique. As other reviewers have commented, it's probably not for everyone but if you want unadulterated relaxation, away from the distractions and stresses of the outside world, Guludo really is perfect. There is no... More

Guludo isn't 5* in the traditional sense of the word, there aren't lots of mod cons, so if this is what you're after then this isn't the place for you. But for us (family of 4 with 2 small children) it was everything we wanted and more. Our chalet (or "banda" as they call it) was fantastic - the kids... More

We're just back from a wonderful week in Guludo. It's hard to compare and contrast with the other places we stayed on our honeymoon. I was really struck by how different what Guludo are trying to do is - we thought the general overall experience was fab and the whole objective of the lodge is amazing. We really like the... More

Guludo Lodge is a rather special place if you're looking for peace and tranquility. It is a beautiful location with outstanding beach views and luxurious lodge accommodation. The hospitality was generous and the food wonderful. I particularly liked to see that as much as possible was sourced locally. Felt like a king for the short time I was there and... More

This was my first time to Mozambique and as it was going to be a special time in my life I wanted to do something different - and I found it!! What a fantastic place! The accommodation was as stated on the website and the hospitality shown by everyone there was really the icing on the cake. I just loved... More

This was simply amazing. Got there and all the bandas face the sea, every morning the sun shines through the windows and you hear the sea right next to you. The shower for me was definitely the best. There is no power during the day (and you dont need it) in the lodge because the generator is only turned a... More

Stayed here for a week with my wife recently and had a great time. The lodge is great & the staff are really friendly. Will definitely go back. The best thing about this lodge is the charity work they do in the community, we could get really involved which was great. The views are amazing.

My husband and I went to Guludo convinced by the excellent reviews and the idea of responsible tourism, but we were completely disappointed because it is presented at the same level of exclusive resorts and luxury but it has nothing to do. Think that in 7 days there we could not do anything but watch the sea in the distance,... More

Thank you for your review. We were gutted that it wasn't more positive, although pleased to see you were impressed with the location and cleanliness. Generally people fill all their days while staying with us, so this was quite surprising to read. With diving, visiting Rolas Islands and Ibo Island, snorkelling, spending time in the community, sunset sails, archery, pottery,... More

We stayed in Guludo for a week last month and absolutely loved it. Our room was stunning, food incredible (still in awe of Afonso and his team creating such spectacular dishes in such a remote place!) and I think we fell in love with just about every single member of staff!! We drove in and flew out, which we would... More
