I do wish they provided sanitizer bottles and wipes in the room. We found that other hotels along the way provided those and it was convenient to do a quick rundown of touch-points in the room prior to getting comfortable. Room service would be an ideal addition to this hotel, especially with a restaurant located on-site.
We understand a new whirlpool was on order since May, but they should not advertise they have a whirlpool when it is not working. There should be some note when booking that the whirlpool is not working so you can decide if you still want to stay there.
As far as the TV, everytime we asked they blamed Rogers and said there was nothing they could do. I am sure they will go after Rogers for compensation and won't be paying for the days the hotel didn't have service. A discount should have been offered or a credit towards a meal in their restaurant as a goodwill gesture.
I have asked for a certain room reservation, coffee and breakfast at 530 am, and other than a few bumps at the beginning there has been zero problems.
I eat at the hotel restaurant nightly and again the waitstaff are incredibly friendly and attentive. And finally the food is great.
If you are in the area be sure to stop in and stay here. It’s well worth your time and money
I’ve been staying there since Sept, and expect to continue until next spring.
Lots of hot water for showers day or night.
on arrival it was nice to see the yard being cleaned you could tell that pride was taken.
the only thing they could do differently, is place an ashtray somewhere so butts would not be thrown on ground. would stay again.
We did get a knock on our door at 1030 saying we could be heard all the way at the front desk. There were 4 adults in the room with no music on or anything. I suspect she was walking by and heard us. Fine...I went into the hall to listen when she came back and very rudely asked if we were part of the hockey team and that our children were running the halls. It was not any of our children. They all had a 930 curfew. Mine were asleep in the room next to us. She then told me that she puts her children to bed at 7pm and does not put up with this nonsense. I felt very judged and offended. She then screamed at the children from the other team and told them BED, NOW! very unprofessional...she should have found their parents.
The hotel was beautiful, rooms were amazing and food was delicious. It's a shame that that one horrible front desk woman has turned us off completely from your hotel. The daytime front desk woman was super friendly and very helpful...kudos to her!
