I live close to this restaurant and have been eating there for a number of years. They have great food. Salads, sandwiches, all delicious. The fish chowder, with fresh made scones, is to die for. The desserts are spectacular. Pies made daily on site. Service and prices are tops. It's one of those spots you take guests from afar to. My... More

A very clean, friendly restaurant that does an outstanding job of offering sandwiches, soups and light lunches plus utterly delicious fruit pies and other deserts. Milk shakes are to die for! Closes early should be there by 6pm for dinner. This restaurant closes for the winter but is very popular with locals and tourists alike. More

^ All of us all got something diff. from the menu and all 6 of us were very disappointed. The meals were room temperature. My ham was warmed over from last winter and was the size of a toonie. Not to mention it was that tough I couldn't chew it. Soup was too salty and all broth. We travel that... More

A large portion of the grounds of an old Victorian house was turned into a motel compound. We were therefore disappointed to discover that the B&B we had booked sat by the road, next to a motel, and that nobody was there to welcome us. Fortunately, once inside the house, everything turned for the best. Our room on the first... More

This is the second time we went for breakfast at the Evangeline Motel Restaurant and both times we were very disappointed. On our first morning outing in August of this year the service was good, the food came as ordered, and the presentation was nice, but one mouthful told the true story - luke warm. Even the delicious home made... More

Instead of the generic motel rooms at evangeline, we stayed at their B&B on the same property which is an old refurbished house belonging to a former Prime Minister , Robert Bordon. The main floor rooms are cute but only have a double bed, they have a great balcony in front and have been refurbished. Breakfast at the adjoining cafe... More

I stayed in the motel several several years ago while on a solo trip, so I chose it for a layover for a road trip thru the Canadian Maritimes with my husband. I asked for, and got one of the recently remodeled rooms. The room was very clean, the TV channel selection was good (we got the Patriot's opening Monday... More

We have always been happy with our food here. Today, not so much. We arrived shortly after 1 pm and they weren't busy, so we were pleased we didn't have to wait for a table. We ordered very basic things - 1 hot dog, 1 small hamburger, and 1 large hamburger with a cup of soup of the day- homemade... More

We drive down from Halifax (about an hour's drive) a few times each summer. I started eating there while I was a student boarding with a senior at Acadia University in neighbouring Wolfville. She liked to go at least once a week. And I got hooked. The food is simple, reasonably priced, prepared onsite and consistent. Not a gourmet place-... More

A wonderful place to take the family for modestly priced quality food. We had a simple meal of a large salad, served fresh and crisp, followed with the 4 oz burgers which were homemade patties, hot and juicy. The menu also offered two ounce patties at a lesser price for those looking for a lighter bite. The apple crisp was... More
