Off the beaten path but a perfect location for our 39th Anniversary on the Victoria Day week-End. The Lodge is very picturesque located on a bend in the river. Great facilities - restaurant-bar (great service), pool-hot tub-sauna, kayaking-canoeing-biking-hiking, Rooms are roomy and clean, a notch up from basic because of the superior quality bedding. The river tour was great thanks... More

A nice getaway for grandsons birthday. Fun times riding the bikes and playing pool. He really liked the big chess board in the front yard and the basketball court. We had a good size room with balcony overlooking river. Evening had us in front of the fireplace in the big common room. We will try to get back. More

Stayed one night in a riverside cottage where we had 3 out of 4 rooms. Good room and bed. A bit default hotel style and a bit worn out. Facilities are okay. Separate indoor pool. Separate building with all kind of games, like table tennis etc. Dinner was average. Breakfast - buffet style - abundant but not special. Nice place... More

We visited for one day (October 14, 2011) passing through and were treated like royalty. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a lovely time and enjoyed our breakfast table next to a row of bird feeders along the river. Amazing pastries for breakfast, wonderful planked salmon for dinner with awesome desert and lovely coffee liqueur... More

We spent a peaceful two days at the lodge and enjoyed everything about the place. The opportunities for hiking, swimming etc were just right. The rooms were comfortable but we thought a little overpriced), especially in the off season. The dining room was very good (but not outstanding). This was our second stay at the Liscombe Lodge.. This was the last night's stay of our 3 week tour of NS, PEI and New Brunswick and one of our favourites. We had a room on the first floor of the main lodge with its own deck overlooking the river. The dinner was good and the server went out of her way to describe the dishes in more detail... More

The Liscombe Lodge was most welcoming to us and provided everything we wanted in a hotel. The room was comfortable with a lovely view of the river and the restaurant served good food at areasonable price. Whilst there we visited Sherbrooke Village which was excellent and also Port Bickerton Lighthouse which was a waste of a journey. It's not worth... More

The whole place seemed very out-dated and tired but the worst experience was the restaurant. There was live entertainment in the form of a pianist who dominated the scene with out of tune and off tempo music - painful ! The food was also a great disappointment with the 'house speciality' planked salmon simply not special at all. The location... More

We stayed one night. Great location on a river, very scenic. The room in the lodge was spacious and clean but very dated. Everything had that "worn" look.
