“Best place to stay after 32 km mountain biking”

The rooms are average, but it has a very good restaurant with one of the most surprising appetizers I have ever had: Fried guajillo chiles used as a base for a tostada of fresh cheese, acid cream, coriander, onion and manzano peppers. It has a very nice lawn for kids to play.

We stayed at the Hosteria De San Felipe (see also Hotel Mision Patzcuaro) for 3 nights in October/November 2010, during the Dia de los Muertos celebrations. We honestly were not expecting a great deal from this hotel, as the reviews on here are sparse and not that fantastic, but I think they may be old, as we absolutely loved this... More

Excellent hotel in Patzcuaro… It’s very clean, the service is very good at the front desk and the place is beautiful. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable… I recommend this hotel to you!!!!

“Great rustic-colonial hotel”

Great hotel for colonial rustic lovers, lots of wood beams, really nice & clean, good size rooms, great gardens, birds, jacuzzi and parking. We stayed 4 nights, just enough time to see most towns around Patzcuaro: Quiroga-Tzintzuntzan, Erongaricuaro, Santa Clara Cobre and Janitzio. A bit overpriced for what you get... but our stay was fine. The room was actually quite cute, with lots of wood and typical Mexican decor. Our room was quiet, though we didn't really like having to drive/bus it into town. Keeping the fireplace going got a bit tedious after a while... esp b/c we had to ask for firewood... More

“Over Priced! Not Worth it.”

The hotel is completely over priced. Is a nice property, how ever, the services are not very good for $120 USD/night. The food in the restaurant was always served cold, the hotel is next to a property that has several barking dogs all night. Another night, there was a party next door, we did not get any sleep.
