Stayed at this travel lodge for two nights. It was as expected it is a travel lodge and the price reflects this. The room was basic but comfortable and clean with good bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. All the amenities you could want are within walking distance, restaurants, pubs, shops The staff were very friendly and helpful. There... More

Clean. friendy staff- with a good breakfast at the nearby Toby Grill ( but do take care crossing the roads to get there and use the crossings) As Travelodge's go this is one of the better ones within the restrictions of their corporate standard, but the additional charge for car paring is naughty. This charge is not flagged in advance... More

It used to be that when choosing a Travelodge there was an exacting standard that was familiar throughout the chain. However, over the past few years as they have driven down prices, standard and quality has fallen too, pretty much in sync. Whereas Premier Inn has tried to keep the quality and charge a mediocre price, Travelodge has driven the... More

What a rip off - before they pay for barriers they rip the customer off by charging for parking. Staff ok. Location great. Building ok. More

They charge for parking??? I might as well stay in a Premier Lodge or the Campanile just over the Bridge. It was bad enough that parking was charged for, but the fact that they did not even allude to it - far less, mention it or highlight the fact - while booking is, in my view COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. In case... More

This hotel is ideal if you're out on the town or cam sleep through anything but what makes up for it is the fact that the rooms are extremely clean and consumables i,e tea and coffee replemished dialy as are the towels. For saver rate you really cannot moan. Right opposite is a toby that also does breakfast and it... More

we stayed there recently and were pretty surprised at how good the accomodation was for a travelodge- although the block we stayed in looked pretty new so maybe this was a factor. it was very clean , the bed and furniture were in great condition and it didn't smell- which isn't the case for a lot of the older/more established... very basic hotel, which would be ok if it wasn't filthy too. We arrived 9pm friday night after travelling across the country for a family wedding to expect a family room which we'd paid for, set up for us (as with other hotels we had stayed in this year had). with an exhausted 3 year old in my husbands arms...
