Borrowdale is beautiful and this lovely hotel occupies a superb position with delightful views. Room was excellent, food very good and staff extremely friendly. The packed lunch for a days walking takes one back to the best picnics of childhood. I would happily return

Spent an enjoyable few days. Very hospitable ambience. Dinners of a high standard. I highly recommend this hotel. A large variety of walks accessible from the hotel. Nearby village of Kiswick interesting. Also visited Wordsworth home and museum.

Amazing views from the lounge and also the dining room. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service, unobtrusive friendly staff. Comfy beds and splendid view from patio doors. Beautiful location and easy to get to Keswick / Derwentwater.

Our second visit this year. If anything even better than last time. Nothing is forgotten, everything is clean and so comfy. We had a garden suite, which was "dog" friendly, with patio doors out onto the garden. The views were lovely, there were the cutest lambs in the adjoining fields!
