Stayed here as part of the Winter Warmer Deal. Had got soaked walking round Muncaster but were able to get in hostel earlier than 5pm check in and make use if the lounge and drying room. Nestled in the mountains, with amazing walks, this hostel is well worth the drive to get to. We took the children (aged 7) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. With the YHA you know what to expect ...value for money, clean hostel with friendly staff. This place is idealy situated with a good pub/cafe 200 yards away... what could be better.

just spent the weekend here. Excellent location & facilities, and even better staff - Richard went 'above and beyond' YHA customer svce requirements in assisting our concerns for late arrivals and also staying late when they did eventually arrive. A shining example to what hostelling shd be about :-)

Having taken 22 young people from 3 different countries the demand we put on the hostel was alot yet time and time again they delivered. Superb friendly staff with amazing food! Definetly visit again!
