Cannot say more than enough positive things about this B&B. Absolutely AMAZING food! Spacious rooms, lots of room for us and both babies (1yr old & 11 week old). We felt very welcome and the lovely couple, Stacey & Andy, who own the place are such nice people and catered to our every request (We had a poorly baby and... More

Lovely Sunday lunch out, the food and service were fantastic and very reasonable. Highly recommend. Excellent with children too! Would particularly like to mention that the childrens roasts were half the price of the adults portions which is how it should be! They also came with a lovely free ice cream dessert. And the green apple cheesecake is one of... More

Have stayed here previously but it looks as if they're going through a change period i.e. last landlord has moved on and owners back in. Stayed there for one night, room smelled of old chip fat as was above kitchen. Shower still had empty mini shampoo bottles in from last user, so shower hadn't been cleaned properly. When I asked... We went here over the children's half term. Warmly greeted by Sue who made every effort to ensure we had a pleasant meal. All in all a well spent hour and a half. The food was lovely and came in sizeable portions.

Spent a lovely new year break in Broughton in Furness and chose the Black Cock as a base for our 2 night stay . The inn itself is quaintly traditional in style and evokes the unspoilt village feel we were hoping to find . Before being shown to our room we enjoyed a pint and a chat with the landlord... More

Stayed for the beer festival, parked up friday didnt move the car till sunday. First impressions not a bad little pub. On closer inspection it is certainly past its best and needing a bit of an upgrade in terms of decorating. Some would say in character- no it’s just very 70’s maybe 80’s. I know all about the problems in... More

We stayed here for the Beer Festival, we were made very welcome on arrival. The pub is quaint if a little tired. Nice atmosphere with a log burner in the main bar area, lots of nooks and crannies to sit in. Breakfast and dinner were well cooked and excellent quality ingredients used, although I was surprised they used supermarket sliced... More

Stayed here two nights over a beer festival weekend, second time we've stayed. Beds comfortable and clean although a little dated and tired, breakfast very good along with friendly staff. Also landlord, Trevor, has a cracking sense of humour. Well placed in centre of busy little village, will stay again soon.

Stayed here for one night to attend a gathering nearby and the Inn ticked all the boxes for what we required. It was a great base in the middle of the village (opposite a fantastic bakery!) – the room was cosy and comfortable with a nice clean bed, the staff were friendly and we had a great breakfast to set...
