A great sized property to rent for a big group of family and friends. We've just had our second trip there and it was stunning (again). Fantastic location, great staff but possibly the worst shower I've ever had the mis-fortune to use! Barely a dribble and cold - not good! Booked to stay two nights at Stanley House on the Drink, Dine and Doze break. On arrival at Stanlet House shown to our room by Tom, very helpful young man, but the overall decor of the House needs some TLC. Stanley House is a charming, quiet inn with a garden that follows the contours of the river Esk. The rooms are lovely. Mine was small, but well equipped with good linens.
