Rennie Rose House in Belper provides a good base from which to explore the many famous towns and historical places in Derbyshire. There is a railway station in Belper town centre which has links to local towns and cities, including Matlock Bath, Cromford Matlock, Derby and Nottingham. Buses also run regularly and can take you to Bakewell to taste the delights of the true Bakewell Pudding.
We would like it thank Claire and Rob, and their daughters for making our stay so enjoyable. We cannot fault it at all. It was 5* all the way!!! We were visiting Belper for the first time as our son and daughter in law have just moved there, and loved the town, with many individual shops, and can't wait to go back and explore all around, and all those lovely coffee shops in the town!!!

Lovely room with a comfortable bed, lots of pillows and fresh bedding. Owners were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The bathroom was very clean with fresh towels and toilets for all tastes. Lots of leaflets and tourist information available. All you could need. Will definitely stay here again.

Such a beautiful B and B, with lovely little detail of care everywhere. Great hosts even better beds! Thanks so much. We will definitely be back if in the area again. Hopefully see more of the peaks next time.

We could not fault the friendliness, the attention to detail or the breakfast service. Only 4 stars as our room suffered from the noise from people walking upstairs above us. This is only likely to impact our room, but did not help us sleep. Everything else was perfect and we would certainly use again.

Following our last review from our April visit to Rennie Rose when we stayed in the back bedroom (the largest), we returned in July, this time in the front bedroom with ensuite. The front bedroom is very roomy - larger than most B&Bs and the bathroom is also huge, with a particularly powerful shower. The bed is exceptionally comfortable. The usual treats were also welcome - fresh fruit, sweets, biscuits etc. A wonderful place to stay, and as we visit Belper to see our grandchildren regularly, we are certainly glad to have found this and will not need to look elsewhere..

Yet again the Rennie Rose never fails to deliver. We have just enjoyed a lovely 2 nights stay with Claire and Rob ablely supported by their daughter who is a credit to them and not forgetting Henry the dog. We can fault nothing, immaculately clean rooms, comfy beds and a fantastic cooked breakfast that sets you up for the day. Really looking forward to our next stay when we revisit this beautiful part of the country.

From the very first moment of our stay the owners were so welcoming and we felt as though we were in our own home with how comfortable we were. The room was spacious and beautiful! We also had our own bathroom with a key to lock it so we could keep all of our belongings in there. There were plenty of knick naks in the room such as fresh fruit; biscuits and chocolates! The breakfast room was filled with a variety of breakfast treats and then a freshly cooked breakfast was available where you could select all the items which you wanted. It didn't disappoint either! It was delicious!! The best b&b I've ever visited, will definitely look into coming again if we are in area!

stayed here for one night recently what a lovely place situated on the outskirts of belper. We usually stay at the lion hotel but this place blows it away in terms of quality and functionality. We had a large room which was well equipped and a large bathroom with powerful walk in shower.the room felt very cosy and homely.

We booked the 2 "executive" rooms for us (a couple) and my mother. These are the rooms with en suite facilities - the third has a separate bathroom, but don't let that put you off - the separate bathroom is as luxurious as the en-suites but you do have to walk along the communal hall to get to it. All 3 bedrooms, the bathroom and the dining room are on the same level and accessed from the entrance hall - which meant that we had no steps or stairs to negotiate from the car - ideal for us, and for anyone with mobility issues. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms are clean, roomy and smell fresh, the showers are spacious and powerful, the breakfasts are well-cooked with a generous choice of cooked food, fruit, juices, cereals, yoghurt, etc. But Clare and Rob have gone beyond all that by welcoming you into their home and supplying far more than you need - bowls of fresh fruit in each room as well as biscuits, sweets, bathroom extras, and loads of booklets and tourist info. The quality of the furnishings, the fridge full of fresh milk and water plus choices of tea and coffee. This is an exceptional B&B and far better than any of the local hotels we have tried. Thanks, Clare and Rob - we hope to be back very soon.…
