Had an absolutely great weekend away, spending two nights at the gorgeous Pendower House. It's located an easy walk from the main streets and you're greeted by a lovely and well maintained English garden. We stayed in the Queen room which has a very comfortable high queen bed, plenty of space in the room for two people with lots of... More

We had a lovely two night stay at Pendower House. Owners Renee and Irene were welcoming and nothing seemed like too much trouble (we called on Saturday afternoon to find out where the iron was and if we could borrow their scissors). The sitting room was laid out well with tea and coffee facilities and fresh biscuits. I liked that... More

Renee and Irene were wonderful and did all they could to make their guests comfortable. I found the house very cold and Irene turned up the heat for me. The breakfast they served was good and they augmented their menu to suit me. Wow, I sound like a real pain in the bum! The location is excellent and an easy... More

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It is hard to adjust from sunny California to autumn in Daylesford and glad that Irene turned the heating up for you. We try to tell guests in advance to check Ballarat weather to gauge what Daylesford is like. often it is 5 degrees cooler than Melbourne. Definitely hats and gloves in... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in the spa apartment, and were very happy with our choice of accomodation. The location is great, only 2 min walk from the town centre. The house was very homely, and the service was very friendly. We really liked all the little touches such as sweets in the hallway, choc's on the pillows, and... More

We recently stayed at Pendower for the long weekend. Rene and Irene really looked after us. We had a large comfortable room with an ensuite. Tea, coffee, home baked biscuits and lamingtons were available during the day. Beautiful breakfasts were provided with the eggs coming straight from the hen house out the back. Pendower is a short walk to the... More

Thank you for taking the time to record your stay, and you enjoyed your time in Daylesford & Pendower. Will think about kitchenette improvements..although hard not to eat out and enjoy the local restaurants. Maybe a griller or something like that? you have us thinking what might be useful in that space. Spa suite will also have thinking caps on... More

We recently stayed here in the Spa Apartment. The house itself looks very picturesque from the outside and has a large number of original features. If you are after ultra chic sophistication and a minimalist approach then this is not the place for you. Whilst not cluttered or full of chintz by any means it is certainly not ultra modern... More

thank you Aaron for your kind and encouraging words. It is always lovely to hear and read positive comments (and probably only hear the negative ones). ChillOut Labour Day weekend was a lot of fun. Until next time.... Renee and Irene More

First impression counts and it was magnificent. We've never experience a bed and breakfast establishment, and decided to stay at Pendower House at the advice of the positive reviews published here. We were not disappointed. I am not about to repeat the other positive comments made in the other reviews because they are accurate and true. We have returned home... More

We stayed just the one night but will definately return for longer next time. Every detail has been thought of. The beds were warm and comfortable. The bathroom well equipped. Charming little touches such as lamingtons, tea and coffee, wine, books, music all supplied in the lounge room. Our hosts gave us suggestions for local wining and dining which we... More

thank you for taking time and sharing your thoughts on your stay. Glad the chooks were laying and sharing their eggs! As much as they create havoc in the garden and create little snuggle areas to sunbake they are delight to have around and keep us going with delicious eggs. Thanks again for your comments. Many thank Renee and Irene More

We stayed 2 nights in queen room and loved it. The beds are very comfortable with lovely linen and the bathroom is immaculate with fluffy towels and toiletries. There is a lounge with complimentary tea, coffee and lamingtons and also a fridge you can use to store drinks. The breakfasts were absolutely magnificent - beautifully cooked quality ingredients. The owners of Pendower House really thought of everything. The rooms were well equipped and there were lamingtons and tea/coffee in the lounge room when we arrived late at night. The rooms were very warm on a very cold and wet weekend. The house was well appointed. The breakfasts cooked by Renee were fabulous - 4 courses with just about... More
