Very basic accommodation with no bells or whistles. Good sized rooms. Bathroom is a tad outdated. Undercover parking. Excellent views. Pleasant staff. Good sized TV. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants.

The Morning Star Motel is situated about 10 minutes drive from the town of Maleny with wonderful views over the valleys right to the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Stayed 2 nights for a wedding at Maleny Manor. Rooms were clean with quality fittings ( a makeover). Spa bath in bedroom - not enough hot water both times we tried it. We stayed here as we had a wedding to attend nearby and found it to be cosy. Plenty of blankets supplied which came in handy with the cool weather. We had assumed we were getting a deluxe suite for the price we paid, comparing with the prices listed on their website but that's our own fault for not checking that... More

Stayed here while we were attending a weddiong at the nearby Maleny Manor. Fair price and great little location - with a small handful of excellent restaurents within a couple of hundred yards, as well as a pleasant walk to Mary Cairncross Park. Cosy little motel with an absolutely fantastic view! Good price and very nice owner. The restaurant just across (Terrace) was outstanding!! Nb! If rainy and foggy the view is less visable.

This is a great place to stay to explore the Blackall Ranges in the Hinterlands near Brisbane. The rooms are not luxurious, although some do have spas, but the beds are comfortable, the veiws spectacular, and Blanche, the owner, is very friendly and helpful.
