Top review from me, does everything in a professional manner, with a friendly air. I would recommend this as a very good place to stay, in an - area that is open mouthed stunning, what a beach, is that a cassowary - that just walked past - why do I not live here instead of Sydney - what friendly people... WOW....what a find!! Have just been to the Taihoa holiday units for the first time. You cannot fault this place. Immaculately clean, spacious, stylish, well appointed, a great location and owners who genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. Tracey and James couldn't have made our visit any more pleasant. GO there, you won't regret it, we'll definitely be going... More

5 stars all the way. A great escape for a couple. Sleepy part of Mission Beach (South Mission Beach). Very spacious room, comfy King Size bed. A proper Kitchenette for longer stays (BBQ by the pool for entertaining). Pool, right over the road (which is not busy at all) from the beach. The wife was a bit sceptical when I... More

My husband & first visited Mission Beach in 2006 just after cyclone Larry while travelling around Australia. Although damage from the cyclone was visible, it couldn’t hide the beauty of the area which we fell in love with. Since then we holiday there each year. We initially stayed at the Elandra Resort until we discovered Taihoa Holiday Units. We can... More

The Taihoa Holiday Units are a fabulous place to stay. The location, a few yards from a spectacular beach, with views to Dunk Island would be enough to make this place special, but the architect designed property and units are also splendid. Considerable thought has obviously gone into the design of the property to incorporate the owners and guests accommodation... More

Myself and my partner stayed at Taihoa for 3 nights in November 2011. The unit was spotlessly clean and roomy. We were upgraded into unit 1 which has a huge bath in adition to a shower. The units are right on the beach and it is lovely to fall to sleep with the sounds of the waves crashing. There are... More

We have visited many beach resorts north of Cairns so we decided on this occasion to go to Mission Beach upon a recommendation from friends. The first step was where to stay. Having worked in the hospitality and accommodation industry for many years I knew what I was looking for. I did my research and we finally decided on Taihoa... More

We stayed here not long after Cyclone Yasi had gone through. The trees were just beginning to have some growth appear on them and there was some sand still on people's front lawns and down the side of the roads, but at Taihoa - everything was normal. Tracey and her grounds people had obviously worked very hard to get things... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Cyclone Yasi did hit our area pretty hard but it's amazing to see how quickly everything is growing back, and beginning to look like normal again! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us at Taihoa Holiday Units and I certainly appreciate your taking the time to share your positive... More

A perfect place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The units are just across the road from a stunning uncrowded beach, lined with coconut palms, where you can walk for miles and miles or sit and admire the offshore islands that behold over the tropical blue green waters. After a long wet... More

My wife and I stayed at Taihoa for four nights and had a great experience. Being right across from the beautiful beach, having tasteful and clean accommodations and a very caring proprietor, Tracey, made it the right respite after a cold, wintry stay in Melbourne! Also, riding one of their bikes on the beach was a unique experience as well.... More
