Our family of 5 travelled the Dinosaur Trail in July 2012 camping along the way. We wanted the outback experience for our kids and always opted to stay at station properties that offered camping facilities over the main caravan/tourist parks in town. We were so glad we came across Carisbrooke Station after a recommendation from a fellow traveller. In July,... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Homestead and had a wonderful time. The house is very basic but it had everything that we needed. It was fabulous to have so much space to spread out in after so much time spent in the car. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular and I have never seen so many stars. It was... More

Our family were picked up in Winton by Charlie and we commenced our full day tour of Carisbrooke Station, the Dinosaur stampede and adjoining properties. What a delight Charlie was and his knowledge of the area certainly added to this special day for us. After stopping for morning tea at an old opal mine, we continued our travels around this... More

Wow, what a location. If you want to experience the outback, you must visit. Penny and Charlie are such lovely hosts. We were lucky to stay in the Homestead which was very special. Charlie's tours are a must, his knowledge and passion shine through in that wonderful country style. To see such amazing Aboriginal art on the property was unforgettable.... More

From Winton we were picked up by Charlie in an air conditioned bus, so commenced our Carisbrooke Station Full Day Adventure Tour. Charlie obviously loves the area which he described with great knowledge and insight. The country at the moment is looking magnificent, due to the heavy rainfalls. Both fauna and flora are thriving. We had the much fun, having... More

Just loved the homestead and the sunset tour was fantastic. Charlie and Penny are wonderful hosts and we are so pleased they have had to turn to tourism to help make ends meet. It gave us the opportunity to understand just how hard it is for the farmers of Australia to live. We really wish them well for the future.... More

We stayed for one night at Carisbrooke Station, following a visit to the Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways, south west of Winton. We stayed in the old farm homestead, which was like staying at Grandma's place - lots of board games, and swings in the yard, and plenty of room to spread out for a family of four. Penny and Charlie,... More
