Our stay in the State of Ohio owned and professionally managed hotel did not meet our expectations based on website photos and descriptions. It has that stinky old damp rug smell throughout, and the bathrooms in both rooms we stayed in had broken showers. The a/c was distractingly loud, and the rooms are just sort of grimy. The good things: the staff and the game-room. Oh, and the swimming pools. I doubt I will be back, though.

The lodge is always comfortable. Not stuffy or crowded. Very accommodating staff and the pizza is always excellent! It is so nice to go in the middle of winter and swim in the pool, our family has been going to Hueston woods since we were children, wonderful to take a hike, fish or just relax!

Highly recommend for a quick getaway for anyone in the area. Great restaurant. Breakfast buffet on weekend mornings and Friday night fish fry are fantastic. Good family fun that does not revolve around video games or social networking. Swim in the indoor or outdoor pool, play "classic" arcade games or take a hike. Highly recommend.
