This was a Nice Cosy Hotel , in the midst of a Lovely Garden. Stayed for 2 days. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Only that you cannot get out of the Hotel and go any where. Location is Isolated. No Lift hence had to carry luggage to the room. Very Friendly staff. But for a visit to Eye..it would be... More

We stayed at the Cornwallis for two nights following our wedding and were delighted with our stay. The hotel is set within 22 acres and the grounds were lovely. Based on other reviews we selected room 1 which was huge and had a magnificent view of the grounds and tree lined drive through the two large windows. The bed was comfy and... More

Went here for a function. Most impressed by staff. Young, helpful and cheerful. Management a bit remote. Reception so-so. Food at function poor. Breakfast good. The place is very tired and looked like it's been milked by owners for some time. Bedrooms OK but need upgrading. Not recommended.

Have stayed here before in the past and it was OK so wasn't phased about being booked in there again by work.. Oh my god how its gone downhill ... Was in a room where the two radiators were full on and couldn't be turned off - undoubtedly due to the lack of any thermostats (see picture). Staff were unapologetic... More

The hotel oozes charm and could be amazing, but its the combination of small things means our stay was lacking. But under new management, would recommend a visit but give it a few months for the new management to get a grip.! We stayed in the coach house,a nice room with a private court yard from the french windows, made... More

Beautiful grounds, setting and has great potential, but it needs money spending on it to re-furbish. The plan was to stay 2 nights, but after a restless sleep with really uncomfortable beds, (the springs could be felt coming through) and very lumpy, we decided to ask to see if we could move rooms. To be fair, the young gentlemen was... More

We have just returned from this hotel. We were put in the Coach House. It was absolutely awful. The bathroom had a hanging light which was dangerous. The shower rail was rusty. The room itself needed a clean. There was a patio which had a dripping overflow from the upstairs and the actual Patio was covered in moss and had cigarette ends! The Doors were open... More

Stayed here with a colleague on business. My first room was room 7 and upon entering the bathroom discovered the shower was not connected. I asked for a different room and was moved upstairs to room 10 (a 4 poster room indeed). I wanted to watch the Barca v Milan game on ITV that night so checked the bar to... More
