Went a couple of weeks ago on a midweek evening. The staff were lovely and the food was fabulous but o dear, the wait was ridiculous. We had a table booked and informed the staff on arrival, it was then 20 min before we saw a menu then another 20 min before we ordered. The starters took about another 20... More

I wanted to try this pub as all the ones near me are of the ping and ding variety. The pub is in a lovely location of Hurst Green. We arrived on a Friday lunchtime to be greeted by a cheerful member of staff. We ordered drinks while we ordered our food. We decided to go for 3 course for... More

My wife and I turned up without a reservation on what appearered to be a very busy time in the restaurant area with a large party in full flow. We where served our drinks straight away and told we could choose any table that was not already set for diners in the bar area. I found a couple of menu's... More

Wow, what a little gem this is! I took two clients here, a few weeks ago, for a business lunch. It had a touch of history and elegance, with an 'at home' feel! A relaxed, but professional atmosphere to get business done! A week later I took the family; again I was left impressed! Really enjoyed the hospitality and warm... More

Ate at the Baily saturday night and had a wonderful experience the staff were very friendly and professional. I had goats cheese starter and was amazed at the taste and presentation followed by the home made steak pudding, also very good. My wife had baked clams and commented that they were the best she had ever eaten followed by the... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Bayley Arms. It was a hiking, wedding anniversary and also family history trip as my husband's ancestor was landlord there in the 1860s when it was The Masons Arms. The hotel has just been refurbished but still retains an olde worlde charm mixing antique and modern furnishings. We stayed in Room... More

We stayed here as it was close to Clitheroe and our first choice was fully booked. The pub is very busy and the food is good. Our room was basic and clean. Cooked breakfast was lovely. The nearest cash point seemed to be Whalley so stash some cash! There are lovely villages around and Skipton & Clitheroe are close by.... More

On the 24th of january my husband and I went to the Bayley Arms for a late lunch. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the steak and my husband had the steak pudding! I would say the pudding was slightly soggy however everything else made up for that! The staff were brilliant and one girl in particular always had... More

The Bayley Arms was always the pub and hotel that tried hardest in Hurst Green - the gateway village to the renowned Jesuit Catholic boarding school Stonyhurst College. As long ago as the 1970s as a young journalist in Burnley I wrote about how the Bayley Arms was playing its part in promoting the Ribble Valley as a tourist destination.... More
