Although we don't stay the night in the hotel, my friends and I meet here regularly for lunch. It's sort of equidistant for all of us and after stumbling across it years ago when our usual venue was closed for refurbishment, we have never gone anywhere else. Yes, the decor is dated. But as a previous reviewer stated, so what?... More

My friend and I are travelling through Yorkshire and had a brilliant nights stay at The Vintage Hotel in Scotch Corner. We used it to travel into Richmond for the day- very easy on the bus X26 or X27 for (2.60 pounds one way). We arrived to the warmest welcome from the manager who was extremely kind and helpful, who... More

We stayed one night with out daughter in October 2011 and occupied the family room (#8) which is a large room with two single beds and a camp bed. Cost was £57.50 for one night not including any meals or breakfast. Our host, Shaun, could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We arrived at 7pm and... More

Stayed over on a Friday night on way back to the Midlands to avoid traffic on M1. Made very welcome by the owners and given a good size double room as the hotel was quiet. Dinner in the bar was very good with attentive staff and I slept very well although situated on the A66. Would certainly stay again. More

Nice quiet hotel, really helpful and friendly staff and they served a great breakfast in the morning. The hotel is maybe a little old fashioned in style but i thought it was charming - and it is called the vintage hotel after all! Our room was a good size and spotlessly clean and had everything we required. More

Faced with a 7hr drive down south, I decided to break the journey by travelling the night before. Excellent price at £23.90 for a standard single room, on arrival they explained that because they were not busy i was being upgraded to a single ensuite at no extra cost. Room was bright, clean and well decorated with TV and tea... More

Me and my partner recently spent a night in Richmond (we actually stayed at a Travelodge down the road), and arrived around 8pm. We went to The Vintage Hotel for dinner, as it was just around the corner. It was the night after Valentine's Day, so was expectedly quiet. The member of staff who greeted us and attended to us... Looks quite spooky from the outside in the dark. The manager is friendly and helpful. Our room ( no 1 ) was very small, they had tried to make the bedroom look modern, but it needs rippig out and starting again. There was some complimentary crisps, biscuit and water in our room - but the crisps were out of date... More

I was driving home from Newcastle and found the A1 southbound shut, it was late, I was tired and despite my son at home confirming online the Travelodge had spare rooms we were turned away with the comments "the computer says no". Just up the road we pulled into the Vintage Hotel and found that nothing was too much trouble.... More
