Neil and Tracy run a very good B&B . Ideal for a night if traveling on A1 or for a few days visiting local attractions of which there are many. Great room ,food and spotless. I had Gluten free food and this was no problem, even lemon cakes....great! Don't be put off by closeness of A1 as you cannot here... More

Firstly the owners were both extremely welcoming and very friendly. Such a refreshing change to have fresh biscuits and milk on arrival. The rooms were modern, spacious and very clean. Loved the walk in wardrobe! The views from the b+b were beautiful, we could have sat outside for hours! Breakfast was amazing and delicious, flexible in the timing. Price was... More

Just returned from the Coach House and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was fab, easy quick access to lots of attractions. Spotlessy clean and comfortable with lovely breakfast. Tracey and Neil were great hosts and after a busy day sightseeing we returned to fresh milk and homemade biscuits/cakes. Our daughter loved the sweet treat left for her on her... More

Our second visit for a stopover on the way to and from Dundee so four stays really and certainly won't be the last. I've just read the one critical report and can only surmise that the authors are professional complainers. As with our first return visit in September everything was spot on. Neil and Tracey are a lovely couple, nothing... More

The B&B is poorly signed, however,we arrived at about 2100 after, fortunately, eating at a great pub in Stocksfield with clients. I had two missed two calls when getting back to the car - both from the Coach House wanting to know where we were because apparently check in time is between 5 & 7, not a lot of good... More

Our check in time is stated very clearly on the Booking.com site. When guests haven't arrived by this time we always give them a ring to check they are on their way as sometimes guests book and then don't turn up (.In our experience past guests have been thoughtful enough to get in touch when they are running late) .... This was a really lovely B&B. Great location, literally just off the A1. The room was very clean and tidy, with a nice little en suite shower and WC (shower was amazing!) The owners were extremely accomodating, friendly and welcoming. My wife and I were only there overnight but we were made to feel very welcome, and we were also... More

The rooms are spacious, clean and newly refurbished; the food is great; and the owners couldn't be nicer! We had a lovely stay and the owners were very friendly. If exploring the region, being located near the A1 is useful as it makes it quicker to get to places in the morning and easier to get home at night. (compared... More

Just returned from a long weekend away in Northumberland and stayed in the excellent Coach House at Brownieside. Location is just fine, just off the A1 and perfectly placed for visiting all the relevant touristy places. The service from Neil and Tracey was just spot on. Nothing was too much trouble and as has mentioned before, the Brownies (Homemade!) and... More

We just got back from a short beak in Northumberland, staying at the Coach House. It's a gem! The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully modernised & tastefully decorated. Neil and Tracey were superb hosts, with nothing too much trouble. Lots of nice little touches like fresh milk, biscuits and freshly baked cakes. The breakfasts were hearty and excellent, made from... We had a lovely bright, clean, modern room. Christmas cake and fresh coffee were provided in the room upon arrival which was lovely. The breakfast was excellent, with locally sourced produce. A fantastic location to explore Northumberland.
