The Lindisfarne Inn is just on the junction of the A1 and the road to Beal and Holy Island. It is an old pub (formerly the Plough) that has been extended substantially. The main building houses the bar and restaurant. The bar is cosy and the restaurant comfortable. There is a good range of local ales and a good selection... More

Finding ourselves close to Holy Island, and with a need to wait for the tide to go out, we checked in to the Lindisfarne Inn. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and a well-designed shower in the bathroom. The bar has some charm with a real fireplace that took the chill off the evening. The food... More

Great small hotel, room was very clean and comfortable, bar food even though we were quite late was excellent. Small problem with our rooms, not the hotels fault was handled by the very obliging and efficient Sean, highly recommended. More

My partner and I stayed on 27th/28th April and it was perfect. The room was excellent, bed large and comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. We had seafood linguine on Saturday night which was excellent and light bites on the friday. Breakfast was also very good - only downside was that in an area for "walkers", porridge would... More

I stayed here on the winter break deal with my 2 children, mum and brother. What a fabulous place. The rooms are spotlessly clean with towels changed daily. The food in the restaurant was excellant at every meal, they catered well for children. the staff were professional yet very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I will... More

I only realised that this place was right beside the A1 once I'd already booked (I'd assumed it was on Holy Island, even though it's very clear on its website where it is!) and I began to fear that it would be some kind of 1970s motel with cars screaming by. We were really pleased to find that it was... More

I have to congratulate the Lindisfarne Inn on providing great hospitality to us this weekend. We have just returned from a walking weekend and stayed here. The staff were very welcoming, the hotel is exceptionally clean both in the public areas and in the bedrooms. The room itself was very nicely decorated and was well heated. We had breakfast for... Being that the hotels on the island are very limited, The Lindisfarne is very very nice. The owners Sean & Jacqueline Atkinson could not have been better hosts & if I ever get in tht region again, I am spending the nite again!. More
