Enjoyed a substantial Sunday roast last weekend. He had the 'most delicious' vegetable soup, 'tasty' roast lamb dinner, followed by the most 'heavenly' lemon tart. I had 'dreamy' garlic mushrooms with croutons and salad, then a 'hearty' roast beef dinner, followed by a very 'generous' assorted cheese platter. The home made apricot chutney was the best I'd ever tasted. Restaurant...

The rooms were huge, the staff were very friendly and the food every night was fantastic. Oh and the beer in the bar is the cheapest in Berwick. I'd recommend it to anyone who is coming to Berwick.

We are a group of 19 golfers who meet up once a year, this years courses were in/around Berwick. The hotel choice was simple - it was the only one who could take a group of this size, but based on the reviews we decided to book meals (apart from breakfast, which was ok - better on Saturday than Sunday!)...

My girlfriend and I unexpectedly stayed here for one night. Sure it's old, sure it needs a paint job, or a good carpet clean etc, as many other reviewers note below, but this hotel is like an untouched reminder of how british hotels were years ago. Think Fawlty Towers, think The Shining...
It's charming, spooky at times; for instance the...
