We had a wonderful night with family. Lovely atmosphere and food plentiful and very tasty. This Hotel/ Public House is an excellent place to visit. Child and dog friendly , everyone is welcome. We stayed here whilst walking St Oswald's Way and breaking off at Craster. There was little other choice for a one-night stay in a twin room but we weren't disappointed at all. Had a wonderful time at The Cottage yet again. The welcome we receive is always so genuine and warm from the Proprietors, Debs and Roy, and also from the Staff. Usually eat here in the summer when staying along the road at Proctor Steads caravan site. The food since the new owners took over is great.So we thought we would try staying there for a night.We were not dissapointed in any way.Its very friendly and very reasonably priced.The staff are very attentive.
